A lot of names were released in late 2010. It could have been taken then perhaps?

Ahh perhaps it happened then. I was just surprised that it had happened as i thought that this was the first release.
Anyway she is happy with her new name just got the old babymonk sign in

They already have an automatic system that releases names periodically. I don't know if the criterias are the same as this huge name cleanup but I've also lost names on some alts. That system haven't been releasing names in such a huge scale though and as so few are affected I doubt many people know about it.

Yes this makes sense. especially since they were older accounts not in use.
Obviously the system differentiates between the log in name and the display name. I must look out for any babymonks out there. Feel free to say hi and introduce yourself

I agree with this so much. I feel like if someone really wants a particular name, they'll try it. Releasing giant lists seems to me like it would not be such a great idea.

I agree too, or atleast, one week after the names has been released, they could do the list of names remaining from the first batch.

I agree Im afraid ill miss getting the name i want because some lamer will look at a list and take it because its a three letter word
