I have never changed my username in game, I find it confusing when signing in and seeing friends list constantly changing

@Mod Balance/Pips/Matthe - Banned names and inactive names are available upon the criteria you stated yet a name I've been after for over 10 years "Osiris" as you can see it relates to my real log-in still doesn't seem to be, being released. I've checked on the account several times via Hiscores since RSC and it seems to be a dead account. I would ask you on the thread but it's locked as I noticed you stated "historical names" while the name I want is mythology based I suppose it may also be considered historical too, any clarification onto why Osiris isn't being brought to life?

I tried to change my name to something but it says "name is banned" but u can add on friendlist will it be available?

I don't think so but wish it was true, think the whitelist is to make sure some bad names stay banned/removed from the game.

a) Names haven't been released yet
b) By 'historical' they mean names with historical significance on rs not the real world

Got a couple questions:
1. So the only accounts that will be affected are those who were never P2P and haven't logged in for over 6 months, or former member accounts who haven't logged in for over 2 years. My question is, will ALL of those account names be released, or just some of them? And if only some, then how will they be chosen?
2. How will we know when the names are released? Will it be announced in this thread or something?
3. If I can still add the username to my Friends List, does that mean it is unavailable and has not been released?

If someone could answer any/all of these questions, I would greatly appreciate it! Thanks!
