That is a step forward at least but what about the current hoarders that log in just to keep the names i know the name i have my eye on is held by a hoarder and the chances of him logging in to keep the name are quite high, i guess there is nothing i can do about it i'll just have to find a different name ;)

They haven't freed up any names yet, it'll happen in a week I think Ah, and that's where mindless excitement gets me. :P Well, I'll have my fingers crossed, don't know why I ever thought chucking numbers on the back of my name would be a good idea ahaha, cheers. ;)

I agree too, or atleast, one week after the names has been released, they could do the list of names remaining from the first batch.

If i were f2p i would just buy membership with that Bond and then change my name but that might be just me.

OMG another identity crisis.
I will like to keep all my characters names so tell me how much do I have to pay for them?
I will pay with rune coins to keep a list of the names I created for my characters. This payment shall allow me to keep my character names or change them if I like to new names for as long as I remain a RuneScape member. This seams like a more acceptable approach. Not only that you will also know who owns what accounts and what computers they play with. You must not forget that many players have more than one acc and do not play with them all at the same time. Also they do have multiple emails with misleading information.
It will be nice to allow the player to keep at list 10 names in storage. I personally have plans on having one ranger, one melee, one mage, one tank, one or two level 3 pure and one main, one male, one female, one skiller, the number one thieve what ever.... well you get the message. Many players that play this game have many characters with different identities so you shall leave their characters name alone and let them keep their sweet secrets identities to themselves. I guess is just part of playing the game. So I will like to keep all my character names regardless of how often I use my characters to play in game. So if you will like to get my personal address, bank acc and telephone number and also my email all you have to do is ask me I even send you direction to my place and invite you all to dinner some day :D ...
Hope you take this into consideration before you start releasing characters names. in the mean time I guess I am going to have to make a scheduled for each one of my avatars so they know when can they play RS in hope that this will keep their names in safe mode. Yep I will like for my characters names to be untouchable and secret as long as I am an RS member even is some of them do not have membership.
