When, as is clear from the state of FMR, the existing team is already overstretched.
Not sure this is a good thing, really.
Well, look at it this way: The post is being vacated by somebody who can't/won't address the issue, which means that it will possibly be filled by somebody who can/will do so.
It’s a shame that we weren’t really able to resolve anything, but thank you Mod Kari for trying. Community management has never looked easy and it’s definitely no walk in the park doing a one-man show for the FMR. We respect your decision to embark on your next adventure and all the best for your future endeavours Kari!
We hope that a fresh start with the next in-take of CM might bring us one step closer to achieving our goals.
..
Also thank you Stoat and Palpatine for being able to give us a positive lens on this event. Even with how small this forum community is now, there’s something about being human, holding that human spirit, moving forward and looking for hope in the face of a declining environment.. that puts the rest of us one breath further from descending into complete hopelessness or nihilism (of this space).

People can be so negative in here. I feel it is that kind of cynicism that is slowly poisoning society. Lol

To be frank with you, there's nothing positive about this topic really.
Archaeox started the threat proposing FMR be abolished due to its continually being neglected, and we had at one point been brainstorming alternative ideas for Mod Kari to consider to alleviate her workload.
The bottom line here is that the forums are neglected, and I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest to get a 404 error one day when I go to load them.
Just to let you know official forums are not always a necessity for video games. Even for Jagex, the new game they are publishing, Space Punks, doesn't have an official forum despite having links to all the social media:
https://www.playspacepunks.com/game-info
When the official forum communities aren't helping their games and their own fellow users, it is not uncommon for those games not to even have a forum, let alone just a mere FMR service.

Please do not attempt to derail the thread.
This thread is not for general philosophical musings about the gaming industry, or what other companies are doing.
Rather, it looks at a problem which currently exists HERE and attempts to suggest solutions.
~~~~ Just another victim of the ambient morality ~~~~
I am suggesting a possible solution regarding the retaining or removal of FH and FMR from the perspective of Jagex. Please note that I stated what precisely Jagex did to the RSOF, or lack of, in their other game too. It is absolutely not "a general philosophical musings about the gaming industry, or what other companies are doing".
