The Caped Carousers are a group of mature Quest Cape owners of all ages, who get together in the spirit (pun intended!) of the late lamented Alfred Grimhand.

We are the largest and longest-established Quest Cape clan in RuneScape. Founded in April 2008, we were one of the very first community clans, and are basically a social club - for FUN, moral and other support, good advice and intelligent conversation.

We hold scheduled and impromptu events (PvM, Distractions & Activities) in various time zones every week, and have members in Europe, America and Australasia. Still, we have no minimum participation requirement and no compulsory events.

Being mature players, we don't insist on lots of insincere team-bonding or exclusive fanatical devotion; we're here so that you can relax and have a good time in good company. We tend to be very honest about our opinions; some people find this harsh at times, but we prefer knowing where we stand - it stops nasty arguments from happening.

Our current leadership are Archaeox (Gaffer, clan founder/owner), Lumine (Patrona, deputy owner) and Tiffrum (deputy owner). We are not strongly hierarchical; rather, we are a sort of benign and consultative autocracy. Titles reflect what people do, rather than ranks.

It may be that, after joining, you find that the organisation, attitude, events or people aren't really for you. It happens, we understand that, and nobody will think less of you if it does.

Remember - If you’ve never seen formation Quest Cape emoting, your RuneScape experience is not complete!

* Application as a clan member is open to P2P players who possess and can wear a Quest Cape, and who have completed every current quest. Members are expected to maintain their Quest Cape to the best of their ability.

* Application is open to members of all ages. Members should however have a mature attitude to having fun (!), and be friendly and helpful to others at all times. Those who insult others, mock those less able or experienced than themselves, or enjoy arguing for the sake of argument, are not welcome. We operate a 3-strike ('flat beer') system for members.

* Any disagreements arising from the membership of other friends' chats should be left at the door. Events are not to be used as a venue for pursuing vendettas or rivalries.

* Clan members should keep an eye on the private clan forum for news and information. Membership sweeps for example are notified only in the clan forum!

* We reserve the right to reject membership applications without providing reasons; failure to accept a rejection will be seen as confirming unsuitability for the group.

* After joining, there's a 2-week provisional period while we get to know each other.

*Do I need to fill out an Application Form?*

If you want to be a full member, yes.
If you just want to drop in and chat with us in the friends' chat (CarousersFC) or our clan Chat, or join our open events, then no.

* Why do I need a Quest Cape?

We believe that a dedicated quester has a serious interest in the game - just like we do!

* I'm working really hard on getting my Quest Cape - can I join and get advice?

If you are not eligible to apply for membership, you can only log into the open Friends chat 'CarousersFC' or our Clan Chat. We'll be glad to see you!

* I have the number of quest points needed to wear a Quest Cape. But I haven't completed Gunnar's Ground, What's Mine is Yours, Death of Chivalry, and/or the remade version of Wolf Whistle, Druidic Ritual, Death Plateau or Demon Slayer. Can I still apply to join the clan?

No. We feel that a dedicated Quest Cape holder will wish to complete all the currently-available versions of quests, whether or not Jagex has made it necessary in order to retain one's Cape.

Note that some of these remade quests are listed in your Adventurer's Log, and we *will* check to ensure your Log reports your quests (but not miniquests/Sagas) are complete before admitting you to the CC.

If you state in your application that you have completed all of them when we can see that you haven't, you will be declined even if you believed you were telling the truth.
So make sure you check!
