Whether FMR is supposed to be checked regularly is a non-question. It is. I'll thank you not to derail this thread by trying to divert attention to this non-issue.
It is an issue with FMR and it needs to be addressed.
Right now as it stands, theres no info from jmods stating how often they look at the thread hence why things like this can and do happen.

Also, Mod Kari has mentioned on Discord
Ah, so that's what's kept her from FMR - she's too busy hanging out on Discord.
And Archaeox can keep calling this a "systemic" issue all he likes, but the bottom line is that the JMod assigned to FMR has neglected their duties, for whatever the reason.
It's that simple.
You also have to understand that there's only 2 Community Managers for RS3 - Hooli and Kari (3 if you count the new one which we've not seen in action yet).
Believe it or not, the forums are not the only platform CM has at their disposal. I do agree, it should be given priority over external social media platforms, but the fact is, they are required to interact with the whole community. The whole community consists of in-game (which past CMs used to hang out in their FCs, current ones do not), forums, Reddit, Discord, Twitter, Twitch streams, YouTube, and the list goes on. We also do not know how much behind the scenes stuff needs doing by these individuals. CM have to go where the players are, and that's not the RSOF.
It's easy to create several threads every month about the lack of activity on FMR by Kari (or whichever CM is in charge at the time), but none of us really know how much needs doing and how much stress this must cause to the individual...
There is clearly too much workload going on for CM to effectively look at FMR each week, which is why the suggestion to have LMods look at reports via the [email protected] email was suggested. The whole reason these external LMods were hired in the first place, was to take some of the burden off CM at Jagex, was it not?
And don't take this post as me shitting on the forums, I absolutely love the forums, and wish they'd be updated or be made the priority focus of Jagex, so activity levels reach what they once were, but that'll never happen when other platforms are so much more convenient.

Success is not final, failure is not fatal. It is the courage to continue that counts.

Try reading Staff posts on FMR. It is quite clear from these that the intention from the last time the thread was recreated was to clear FMR reports weekly.

Anyway, let's crack on with this week's review!
And so on.
Evidently, this standard is not being met. Rather than putting this down to laziness or incompetence, I will agree with Tuffty's reply on page 3, post 1 that this is due to too many demands being placed on too few Staff. Hence my assertion that this is a systemic rather than an individual issue, and my unwillingness to tolerate personal attacks on Kari, Hooli or anyone else here.

I am in complete agreement with this. The CM team is simply spread too thin to be effective here and Jagex is well aware of it, as evidenced by the sub-contracting of CM duties and responsibilities to the LMods. The fact that the LMods can't review FMR due to their permissions is something outside of CM control. The protections on JMod accounts (which I'm sure we can all understand why those protections are in place) have, so far, prevented the LMods from receiving those accounts and the permissions that LMod accounts have prevents them from seeing FMR posts (posts on auto-hidden threads are visible to JMods only).
The very people that have been onboarded to help manage this system are simply unable to and it's not as easy as "just fixing it". To change the protections on a JMod account to allow it to be used outside of the Jagex network (at the office or VPN the JMods are using from home) could result in a potentially serious security vulnerability and that risk has to be seriously considered. Alternatively, adjusting the LMod permission set to be able to view FMR likely requires dev time on the forum because there just isn't a toggle for it - else it would have been toggled by now, surely.
For those reasons, I very much agree the issue lies within the system and not the individuals that are trying to accommodate the needs of the community who are stuck using the same system.

Sorry but im not going to go through over a 50 page thread just looking for posts that should be covered in the OP of the thread.
Plus just because 2 posts say this doesnt mean thats how its supposed to be.
Once again, if this is true, then they shouldve said so on the first post.
