Personally, I do not believe that you should go by "past comments from forumers." You
should
have your own opinion on any matter. I am not putting Mod Kari on a pedestal like you are claiming; however, I do enjoy her responses because they are straightforward and do let us know that she's keeping Forum Moderators in check. Is it bad for me to compliment
the contents of her responses
? Again, let's be clear: I agree that FMR is flawed and something needs to be done about it. It's taking
too long
for reports to be reviewed and by the time that they are checked, those reports become useless.
In summary, FMR needs to be revamped. Yes, it has almost been three months since the last check and we all agree that this is not acceptable. This is the main reason why we are all here trying to find solutions to this ongoing problem. I also believe it goes a long way to commend the way the responses are sent because it reassures the community that Forum Moderators do receive feedback whenever they have to. That's all I tried to do and I shared the responses that do just that on the previous page. Nobody is putting anybody "on a pedestal".

Again, folks, please don't take this thread into a discussion of individual members of Staff.
The problems with FMR are
systemic
, and predate current Staff. That is exactly why the system needs to change.
I'm apologetic, Archaeox. I already suggested my idea to try to amend the way FMR works. I was simply complimenting the
contents of the responses
that have been shared in FMR.
From August 2020 to date, the FMR thread has been checked only 8 times. That works out to about once every 5-6 weeks on average, the actual gaps ranging from 14 days to 98 days (and counting). In five of those calendar months, there were no FMR Staff posts at all.
This is simply not acceptable, given that FMR is the primary venue for community engagement on the forums.
The system is clearly broken, and needs to change.
