Sorry to hear of your experience with the game.
There are some workaround's for this issue - common ones are to use the Steam client or third party login i.e Google, Apple etc. More here: Too many login attempts from your address Life is like a camera: Just focus on what's important, capture the good times, develop from the negatives, and if things don't work out, take another shot !

One of the workaround's is playing using a different connection, and I think your clan mates are playing through mobile data. That, or using a VPN, could be how they fixed it themselves.
Other workaround's are playing from the Steam client, or signing in through social login's like Google, Facebook, Apple. Life is like a camera: Just focus on what's important, capture the good times, develop from the negatives, and if things don't work out, take another shot !

I did use my mobile to hotspot and still got the same message.
I have play everyday for many years and never had this before.
I dont want to play via steam or log in with google FB etc.
TIME FOR JAGEX TO START SACKING SOME OF THEIR PROGRAMMERS AND REHIRING NEW PEOPLE. That's not fun.
You can report the Too many login attempts from your address error here . That is your option if social network logins/Steam client/VPN is outside of your interests.
