Hi, this is a known issue that Jagex are working on fixing. It's not related to the error in this thread though! :)

Sorry to hear of your experience with the game. :(

There are some workaround's for this issue - common ones are to use the Steam client or third party login i.e Google, Apple etc. More here: Too many login attempts from your address

Getting this notification " Too many login attempts from your address. Please wait 5 minutes before trying to login again " in normal conditions maybe your getting the same message. The following are some of the conditions I am experiencing.

1. I have been getting this for few months by now ~ maybe you have too.
2. I get this message as soon as I complete the log in process for the first time.
3. Hopping to different worlds.
4. I have tried the solutions in Jagex website for this error but no good ~ I bet you have too.
5. Why is this an issue if one is using the Jagex downloaded proxy ?
6. I have waited 1 hr and tied to relog on with results the same.
7. I have searched internet and noticed many people ranting about it.
8. I have been posting on Discord with my clan ~ and a few are experiencing the same event, but it seems a lot are on mobile and not getting this message.

This may be the situation where they changed the client to allow the system to interface the mobile devices which changed the interface with home system's.

Is this this is an exploit that Jagex can not fix ~ it may even be a hack.

Why do I say this ~ because it is not being fixed.

They have a forum dedicated to this existing problem ~ so they are well aware of the system problem ~ failure.

One of the workaround's is playing using a different connection, and I think your clan mates are playing through mobile data. That, or using a VPN, could be how they fixed it themselves.
Other workaround's are playing from the Steam client, or signing in through social login's like Google, Facebook, Apple.

I did use my mobile to hotspot and still got the same message.


I have play everyday for many years and never had this before.

I dont want to play via steam or log in with google FB etc.

TIME FOR JAGEX TO START SACKING SOME OF THEIR PROGRAMMERS AND REHIRING NEW PEOPLE.

That's not fun. :|

You can report the Too many login attempts from your address error here . That is your option if social network logins/Steam client/VPN is outside of your interests. :(
