Hello Jagex,

Today, 4-Dec-2020, I too have experienced a "too many logon attempts from your address" error message. This is the first time ever encountering this message. Obviously, I have logged on here in order to post in the forums, which means the password has not been compromised. Therefore I do not understand why the game reports there to be too many attempts (how many is this?) as I am the only player of RS at this end-user point , the internet connection/address not being shared or used by any other RS players. Please advise.

After logging out around 3am EST, I woke up today to "Too many login attempts". I was able to log in at 9.30pm. Another day of gameplay lost as a result. I really don't believe Jagex gives a damn about this. If it's mainly legacy accounts being affected, it might be worth it for them to toss us out with the trash rather than spend money on fixing it.

Linking my e-mail has worked for me. Logging in normally still doesn't work. If Jagex is unable to fix the issue and is requiring us to use e-mails to log in, then they need to communicate that transparently to us instead of this nonsense where the players are left to figure this out for themselves.

So today boys we finally got an update to bypass the flood on mobile...

that still means most people can only play on mobile now and still are unable to login on runelite or osrs client. what a joke haha if they could do something like that for mobile why not also for pc. well at least most of us are able to login fine on mobile now. lets hope after the 23rd of december when te reboot comes we are able to login on the pc again.

i first was afraid they were trying to hack my account but i feel more secured now that its really for most people a problem from jagex's fault. something doesnt let us bypass the flood.

I really hope they are going to fix the problem next year. but we will see.

Used my Prime Gaming for a week trial of membership after being away from the game for 5+ years, can't log in because of "too many log in attempts from this address". Great returning experience lol

Looks like Jagex still knows how to keep their players coming back for more. /s

Just got this message today after being lobbied for 15 mins. Never had this message before. I've waited hours and still can not log in to the game client. I can access my account on the RuneScape website however without issue. This is beyond frustrating especially since I play on a Mac and just experienced a 2 month long period of not being able to play and missed a DXP because of that client issue.

EDIT: I was able to log in by clearing my DNS Cache. Give it a try just google "clear dns cache" and you should be able to figure it out.

Yay were back to this issue AGAIN and as usual 0 RESPONSE from Jagex.
My other accounts login fine from the same IP.
I had to quit last time as I just couldn't login, this time I'm going to loose dragon tier..
