... and now we have a growing number of 'veteran-players' whom refuse to use
Forum Help
for the simplest things like 'locking a thread'.
I find it unacceptable that veteran-players refuse to use
Forum Help
and disrespectfully 'dump' their 'lock-requests' in the thread they find unattractive to use for future goals, sort of throwing it on the side walk like waste with the message 'hey mod, clean it up will you'.
The stupidity of all is ... FMods do accept it as being the right way as how it has to be done ...

To the best of my knowledge, no FMods are actually
required
to monitor Forum Help, however helpful to the community that might be.

I agree with this. Veteran players should know better, and have more interest in the healthy operation of the forums.

That doesn't mean they actually
like
it. In the case of the thread which I think prompted your post, though, I put it a link to their request onto Forum Help myself when I saw that the OP had not done so - as indeed any other player could have done

I know, I know ... it is 'not a requirement' but what is the purpose of having
Forum Help
, for players it is an '
obvious place
' to ask for forum assistance. Veteran players do know how to use
Forum Help
when they are having issues with each other ... but than again ... a lot of veteran players refuse to use the proper template of page 1 to file a request and use 'qfc-links and their own comment as representation' as a single line report.
If FMods don't like it, make the post hidden and don't lock the thread but post a reminder to use

To be honest, I don't think I've ever used the template on Forum Help... it's just annoying having to go to Post 1, copying the template, and then going to the end of the thread.
I (personally) don't see what the issue is with using a single line report with the QFC, if the QFC directly leads to the post, if you're reporting a post, and a thread if reporting a thread. The only time I've ever had a comment about my reporting on FH, was when I reported several things that needed actioning on a single FH post, and Tuffty told me it's easier to put each issue on it's on post. I assume that is in case one FMod doesn't know/want to action something, but will action something else.
If it's really a huge deal about making 1 line reports on FH, then I'd really like to see what the FMods who frequently use FH have to say about it. If I find they dislike it, and it causes them more trouble, then I'll use the template.

Success is not final, failure is not fatal. It is the courage to continue that counts.
Let's please leave the discussion of specific FMods and players out of this thread. I know you're not naming names, but it's very clear you're discussing specific people, which is not in the spirit of this thread or the RSOF.
