As how the pinned thread did start of it too lacked proper insight or further information and sources outside The RuneScape Official Forums are always a speculative source of information covered in a lot of context/discussion.
Too bad, as I have waited for you guys/girls to show up and lighten things up guiding The RuneScape Community in this mad arena of mishaps & assumptions. I do find you the better people for the job being always in-between The Office and The RuneScape Community.
Of course time may be of essence but next time I would love to see you take the lead.
In the past there have been threads of moderators in The RSOF and I love to see them back.
Thanks for the feedback on this issue - especially with the point about context/discussion, I do understand what you mean with regards to sources outside of the RSOF/website. I'll be sure to discuss this with Arbor and Brandon
Nice to see everyones thoughts on information threads like the sticky.
I commend Jagex for their news post where they relayed all new updates/statements, i think this was a good decision, although I'd like it be posted as soon as the system registered issues.
shameless plug
As for forums, I think anyone should create a thread as they like - there's always a lot of uncertainty in the beginning, so the info can be really vague.
Also Nick the evenings are usually my prime hours too. It's so nice and quiet

While I hate to have to moderate a thread like this, I've had to remove a post on the previous page making accusations of manipulation, running bots and phishing.
@Surprised,
I know you didn't specifically name names, but it's obvious who you're referring to.
If you have any concerns (preferably with some sort of evidence) like that you can send them to [email protected].
Post retracted, Thanks Rooh <3

Surprised
That's visible to Jagex only - although QFC -
Forum Help v2
allows you a chance to request an explanation as to why they hid your post.
I totally support though, there's a lot of double standards here unfortunately. The F-Mods are trying their hardest, but their just needs to be clear cut rules. I obviously want more relaxed rules (like in the High Level forums) but they also need to be sub-forum specific.

So you're telling me that person can name and shame a forum mod and outstanding member of community however I cannot have my post exist even though it breaks no rules just because you deem it to be attributed to a person that has not been named?
What is this hypocrisy?
Btw they're not mere accusations, and since you've brought it up as such very defensively which makes me wonder why if I am honest.... I'll leave this twitter thread here. - (Link Removed)
PS - I am only upset because you've allowed those other posts to exist, and therefore I am requesting you to review your decision on my post, but if this post or the original breaks any forums rules and are necessary to be hidden please do let me know before you remove this.
As you requested, I'm not hiding your post but you need to remove that link please, as it clearly shows (and accuses) another player's name... so it'd be appreciated if you could edit it out.
If other posts have been left that you think should have been removed, by all means post in Forum help and we'll take a look.
As I mentioned, the tipoff email could be your best option, though I see you've also flagged the issue on twitter.

Like I said. Go to the Item discussion forum and look at my examples. Neither of those locked threads are breaking forum rules. They are locked because those two specific mods think they should be locked. These are just two small examples of the over moderation the forums have gone under over the past few years. This thread is not to advocate for those threads to be unlocked btw, just examples.
And yes the forums desperately need updated. No reason anyone should have to upload an image to Imgur just to post it here.
Item discussions forum is all masked manipulation threads and the entire subforum deserves to be deleted.
Wilf, I think Rooh asked that as it's more to identify the specific posts being questioned by whoever thinks they may be inappropriate, rather than a case of "We wont action unless there's an FH report".
I think overall we've tilted on the side of leniency to not stifle discussion, despite it obviously being about the moderating team specifically, there has been a couple of different examples given, both Item Discussion and Off Topic.
