Will have to try that. My girlfriend got me a chicken recipe book for xmas, so I have a lot of cooking to do!
u have to slowly but surely bend her into nonstop cooking for you... first start with once
then try to make it 2 times... slowly build up till shes so used to it she cooks for u always!
if u must go on a guildtrip bout her not feeding you well enough!
Her words were "I am never doing the fucking food shopping".
Again, nether.

Lol!
Also, I love cooking. Mainly because I know what I am eating. I hate eating out as a result of this - also because I can't track my calories either.

AMEN to that good sir. As for the black bean recipes, I don't eat them as religiously as I use to, but here goes nothing! (note I always rinse any canned food, I don't like the preservatives in them, feel it gives better tastes.)
-Black beans (cold) + spinach + diced tomato + cilantro + dash of lemon juice = cold bean salad type thing with a twist!
-Black beans (warmed by rinsing) = out of the can, probably my favorite lazy day fix, it's like eating peanuts, though I recommended always getting low sodium.
-Black beans (warmed by rinsing, then mash with fork) + leftover beef +tortilla shell( using cabbage leaves can cut some cals out) = quick easy burrito, you can freeze this one, not cabbage, if you look it up and warm for another time.
-Black beans + kidney beans + baked beans + chilli mix(or your own) + beef + tbsp of ginger+cocoa (trust me on this) = most appetizing chilli ever, that'll last for days, or not!
Endless amount of possibilities, those were the ones I remember the most. As a fellow cook, as my dad and I always say, we find things out by messin and gommin.

I have done about 4 cycles on HST, which was 2 months. I was aiming to have just lean muscles and sculpting. I used to powerlift/do strongman techniques years ago for a high-contact sport, but having big muscles doesn't appeal to me anymore. Remarkably, after about a year of no exercises, my muscles has maintained it size, so I would like to sculpt it rather than make it bigger.
Why HST appeals to me is that I have a VERY busy schedule. I am currently taking 17 hours of classes, and on top of it, I have an internship to boot. Generally, I get up very early so I can make time for the gym which is often just 1 hour each day, except for Mondays...
HST fits very well for 1 hour sessions due to the low volume it requires (but high weight is included.) I have been fixing my diet too, I don't really count calories as I generally do not have the time to do so. Instead, I just shop locally and buy the food that I trust. I used to be 102kg last summer, but I have dropped down to 82kg today while making slight strength gains. Not bothered by the lack of strength gains, I just prefer to look well defined and drop BF before getting settled in an office job.
If anyone was wondering what was my peak during powerlifting days, since people here appears to be very interested in powerlifting, here what I can remember. (It was lift to failure)
Bench: 102kg x 9-10 reps or so.. I just remember it being my highest rep
Squat: 184kg x 5
Clean: 102kg x 5

On the topic of lifting (I guess), anyone here listen to metal whilst they lift?
Not me, not a metal fan
(not that I dislike it, just not my thing ) But then again I pretty much never bring my own music for working out, the gym radio is on and I leave it at that.
(9/10 Johnny boom boom music though ,which I don't like, but meh :p )
It's on and I hear it, but I don't really listen to it :p

And I guess I can part a note, if anyone is looking to get abs. It's very hard to get abs, the fat over your stomach is one of the last things to be burned. It has to be diet, diet, diet, instead of straight out abs workouts.
I read a tip about decline bench with empty bar and doing crunches with it, I can vouch for it
