I do 3 sets.

1x10
1x8

Increasing weight each set.

When pushing or pulling weight against you, do it hard and fast. When resisting, do it slow and steady.

So when bench pressing, push the bar up as hard and fast as you can, and bring it down slowly while still maintaining form. It's good for building both strength and endurance.
