Creatine mono is a proven product. I won't go into the (bro)science of it too much but ATP is basically the way all cells in your body store and use energy. Creatine boosts your ATP levels.
Your body produces ATP already but not nearly enough to achieve what you'd get when supplementing with creatine. This is why, contrary to what a lot of people will say, it's best to cycle creatine. If you just stick to a daily maintenance dosage your natural production of ATP comes to somewhat of a halt and you don't get the full effect.
BCAAs boost protein synthesis. They have an exceptionally fast digestion rate (they basically don't require digestion as they're already broken down) and just keep your body from going catabolic.
I personally think they're overpriced for what they are but if on a calorie controlled diet with little/no room for error, BCAAs can be a great way to stop your body going into a catabolic state.
TL;DR - They stop your body from taking vital amino acids from your muscles when your glycogen levels are low.
Yeah the cycling sounds like a good thing for creatine, seems like you'd go into an overall "energy loss", if you let your body depend on it when you miss out on it.
So, with what you said, I'm going to assume creatine is generally for pre-workouts, weight training specifically; while, BCAA is for post-workout to replenish?
Creatine could/should just be taken daily. I have mine in a morning shake with some instant oats and whey.
Your ATP levels stay elevated for up to 48 hours when supplementing with Creatine mono so as long as you stick to a daily maintenance dosage (cycle it with 8-10 weeks on/2-4 weeks off) you'll feel it's benefits all day, every day.
BCAAs are good intra-workout to stop your body from using the aminos in your muscles for energy in the middle of your workout.
Whey contains amino acids naturally including the 3 BCAAs (Leucine, Valine, Iso-Leucine). Granted, it will take 1-2 hours for your body to absorb them if you're having a whey post-workout shake but you are getting them.

Anyways, thanks again, Blink. I still haven't looked into the protein types, but felt no reason to yet. As for the creatine, don't have any plans to start using it or any more supplements for that matter, but appreciate the explanations and tips.

So, just to enlighten you folks, most of these products haven't been approved by the FDA and haven't been studied for long-term side effects that can be detrimental to your own health. I'm an all natural body-builder (or at least working to become one) and so far by just eating clean and natural proteins, my gains have been significant week by week.
tl;dr - don't use proteins unless you feel it is absolutely necessary.
Edit: I take kinesiology classes in high school.

My view as well, I just eat something with a lot of protein after a work-out to rebuild muscle.
