#1 piano > rs
#2 start practicing only playing half an hour of rs a day. Once it's a habit it will significantly cut down on how much it eats up your life.
Good idea, in fact, I've been so busy at times, that I almost never get on to do my long term goals (getting 120 Invention). I think I should probably not think about it too much during my free time, that might help too.
For now, as final exams are coming up and looming closer each day, I'm stretching out my goals and setting lower expectations for my RS goals and hopefully over time, I will adjust to slightly less playing time. I'm not the person that reacts well to sudden change, but gradual change

Prioritizing inclusion, friendliness and offering a helping hand to those that need it.
This was a question I asked myself once upon a time as well.
(Un)fortunately I never had the chance to answer this question myself, because Runescape got so bad that the game itself basically made the decision for me.
Just play a bit less and take longer to achieve your goals in the game and if you ever get more time and want to play a bit longer then play a bit longer.
@Railgun
Well, I have been playing for a bit more than a decade so I wouldn't just want to quit all together, and tbh while there are times where there was a bit of frustration, overall, my gaming experience has been fairly pleasant. Plus, I still have some goals I'd like to keep up with at least in the current times (may change in the future).
And thanks for the compliment, I do have quite a bit of interest in Touhou (thanking Flash Bomb RS (guy in a tiki mask) for putting Touhou music in many of his PvM videos, which lead me to discover it several years ago).
@Wilf
I suppose, though I was hoping some others who are working full-time, have family, other commitments might offer more in depth advice.
