People need to learn that NOTHING is worth long term investing in anymore, those days are gone.
I don't know if I would go as far as "NOTHING" but those tokens are sure trash now for long-term. I'm glad I didn't get my ass burnt on the Zombie Walk rerelease. Right there was when I dumped all my long-term token merches.
Best,

Please mention one item that is steadily rising at the moment (Besides OG Partyhats recent little jump in price).
Azure D breath was doing well, but that’s slowly on the decline now. Lowers are as low as they’ve been in a long time.
Jagex constantly releasing new items through TH is dispersing wealth throughout the game, and it is watering down the price of every other item in the game.
There is literally hundreds of items in game that have been steadily rising where demand has been exceeding supply. this is a very naive statement to make.
Take "Chaos runes" as an example.
The demand has been consistently higher than the supply for years, hence a steady increase in price.

Actually, the first Golden Partyhat was sold for 6b, lots got sold for max cash too. So you're wrong AGAIN *pretends to be shocked*
As I said 10000000000 times before on this thread, the price reflects the supply and demand.
Why can't your little brain understand this?
Golden Phat has been between 400-700m since release pretty much now, and YES, the majority has entered the game, believe it or not, that's on you.
You state: "
Every other single case of a modern rare has seen it drop from its launch value and hover at well under it for months to years before going up
."
When:
1. Black Santa rose from release date.
2. Wreath rose from release date.
3. Xmas scythe rose from release date.
4. Christmas Tree hat rose from release date.
5. Pet of seasons rose from release date.
and everything else that isn't tokens.
I was literally here when all of these items got released, and I was collecting and holding most of them. I have witnessed what happened and what IS happening now with golden partyhats. You're a fool if you think that these are junk and that they will drop to 200m lmao
I can't wait to find you in a year and laugh at you when the Golden Partyhat hits 3b+
The last part didnt age well.
No it did not. I love this especially because I'm the one that they are ranting at, claiming my "little brain" can't understand their grand economic concepts. When all I suggested was that if players intended to invest in these, to wait for them to bottom out; Buy low, sell high.

What a fool I truly was. Try not to laugh so hard you hurt that massive galaxy brain of yours.

I don't think GPH would have dropped this much if jagex didn't release GSH right the next month. If you look at the wiki price chart which is lagging but still, GPH Drops to 330M starts to rise and reaches 550m then dumps as GSH is released which shoots up to 1.3b
Nov/2021 - Golden party hat released.
Dec/2021- GSH/Gift scythe released.
But the biggest driver of prices staying suppressed is the low player count, the demand just isn't there besides hoarding. And TH gives out items like candy which get farmed by alts, nothing in this game is investable worthy anymore including so called untouchable og rares.

I am still convinced the hat had no chance. It was clear from day 1 that you could easily create alts to make them. Speculate all you want on how many actually did, but I personally know over a dozen players who made hundreds each. The small spikes the hat saw were the direct result of massively wealthy players believing they could corner the supply, buying up the stock. They quickly learned, however, That there were simply far too many hats, and they were too easy to get; anyone who would have been in the market to buy one for these ridiculously inflated prices, likely just took a weekend to make their own. Anyone who wanted one, just made one. Meaning the entire demand for this item fell solely on investors, who had no incentive without new buyers, and new players, who were nowhere near able to afford the prices. So you are correct in that aspect, too few buyers. This was a problem of a massive supply with no natural demand.
I don't believe the Green Santa had any effect on the long-term value of these hats. Players quickly realized the GSH was worthless as well, as it is not a confirmed Discontinued item, and we saw that item quickly drop as well. During this drop, we saw no new confidence in the GPH, meaning any long-term faith investors had in its value was gone. This item was doomed from inception. The GSH did not kill the GPH; The GPH was already dying. The GSH merely accelerated what was already inevitable.
I personally believe there were some who bought in heavy, realized their mistake, then tried to convince players the hat was strong, so they could sell out with minimal loss. My entire intent here has been to warn those would-be victims.
