If players want to have group healing to help learners, they're already using calorie bomb, or even ice asylum (since its a huge waste of adren, its rarely used). The thing is, PVM in RS isn't quite the same as other MMOs with dedicated healer class and thus bosses aren't really balanced with healing in mind. Unless this is changed, I don't see anyone really using healing familiar as it is a sacrifice to DPS. With abilities like debilitate, resonance, disruption shield, a lot of damage can already be mitigated, so much so that top tier pvming requires no eating at all.
Plus, for learners point, its better for learners to learn to be independent by learning to use defensive rotations wisely than relying on healing from others.

I think some more utility focused stuff
might
be a better idea than just an hellload of damage familiars from whose one will be meta and another one a cheap alternative for general purpose situations and maybe a few more will find a place in situations specifically tailored towards them.
The group healing familiar could be the spiritual successor of the unicorn and have comparable strength. I could imagine it being fairly cool for masses if one or two players take them with them.
Btw seen a small oversight in your compilation: The 32 slot BoB is already covered by the pack mammoth at level 99, so you should either cut it or extend the series with a 38 slot one (with the full series starting a fair while after 99 in either case then).

I too, would prefer utility and more niche familiars that may outshine meta familiars in peculiar situations. To me, the problem right now isn't that bosses aren't dealing enough damage to players, but rather EoC has been balanced in a way that focuses a lot on solo pvm encounter and thus resulting such excessive amounts of defensives that a player could finish an encounter without taking a single bite of food or sip of brew.
Unless this is changed, to me, I would prefer 1-2 player bringing in some sort of utility familiar that places a debuff or something to help deal with boss mechanics and sacrifice dps for it.

You're right on both accounts. However, I also do not want to train it to 120. When these virtual levels came in, it was exciting because y'know..

but there were also many of us skeptical that it was eventually introduce all skills being leveled to 120, despite Jagex saying it would not.
I don't care about the capes. But for my total EXP to matter, I need to suffer through 120 slayer and the next quite possibly is summoning. With updates like these, it's no wonder people switch over to OSRS. It's just annoying, is all.

Takes <10 hours to get 98m summoning xp during dxp. Unless you're one of those who let charming imp destroy crimson and blue charms on their way to 120 slayer, you'd have more than enough charms for 120 summoning. No real excuse imo, I got 200m summ before 120m slay xp.

to upgrade current summon duration and power?
Color pallet switch on summons could be a simple visual differentiation between altered/enhanced versions.
Unless the art/modeling design teams have no overtime.
