Some more suggestions, also trying to incorporate existing familiars once again:
As you wanted more ideas for hunter level boosting familiars: Spirit wolf should give +1 passively, Honey badger +3, Wolpertinger already gives an hunter boost, but I'd increase it to +8 or 9 - that would have a decent coverage of hunter boosts up to level 99 this way. Bigger boosts could be given to new familiars past level 100
I guess other skills could be covered likewise with existing familiars, which wouldn't have too much of use right now.

I agree, that the elemental titans are too similar, in fact, they're basically a carbon copy of each other. As mentioned, a skill rework and expansion are not mutually exclusive, if you'd like to share some ideas on how to change the elemental titans, I'd be more than happy if you shared them here.
As for the gale titan thing, its just to bring in line with our magic elements, in the regular spellbook, its: air, water, earth, and fire, not ice. And also to make space for the ancient spellbook versions of elemental titans. Hence why I suggested to change it.
As for nihils, they're already pretty much BiS for bosses where you don't have 100% accuracy in, so I don't think adding other utilities to make them more unique might be a good idea, balance wise.
As for your trust, I don't think its right to have 0 faith in Jagex, yea sure they've been lazy, but its like they're too lazy or afraid to try new mechanics. Yes, the corrupted creatures and soul devourers were bad. But if you looked at the new bosses, lost grove creatures, elite slayer mobs etc. There are plenty of innovative and new mechanics. So, while I do expect them to cut out on many unique and special suggestions for familiars, I'd still expect to see enough variants to warrant the skill expansion.
As for "gaming expert", its not a title, its part of the company's name, they can name themselves whatever they want, Riot Games can call themselves Riot Game
s
despite only having 1 game. But whatever, its completely irrelevant to this post.

I think I should make a new thread to incorporate existing familiar rework, and perhaps other aspects that need to be looked at for a successful skill rework/expansion. The thread will still be focused on new familiar ideas, but then also make a Google Doc for the other parts. Been quite busy irl, so not sure if I'll have enough time to make it, its also why I took so long to respond to you.
I disagree with your rearrangement of the titans, the reason I replaced Ice is to make the 4 elemental titans correspond to the normal spellbook elements, and this makes space for the other 4 elemental titans that correspond to the ancient spellbook elements.
I'm not too sure where to put lava, moss, and swamp. My suggestion would be to rework them to correspond to the combination runes. Your ideas for their specs are interesting, I'll think more about it on how to integrate them, and the enhanced versions as well.

There could also be unique secondaries bought/won from..
More Mini-games (Void,Talon beast)
Slayer points
D&d's
Challenges

..To avoid combat vs. skilling bias.
If I do make a new thread to include the other aspects of a skill expansion/rework, I'll make a list of other viable options to obtain tertiaries.

Or possibly even specific high level Mini-Quest locked untrade-able Summons?
Could be like ghasts from TT.

And if JaGEx could balance out & apply familiars from Arcanists that would be cool too.
If you got a list of ideas that would be suitable for RS, then by all means, do share them.

Spirit imps: passive AoE skill boosts?
Spirit butterflies: visible AoE effects?
(Much like jarred butterflies yet a summons duration.)

Could be unique and fun to Summon for boons to other players.
(Think Clan Avatar-ish)
