I assume its not common logic for everyone, tho in this case im not surprised, that quantity matters too. Just like pollution and fumes are toxic for humans that doesnt mean we are killed right away. Its a matter of quantity and time. Elder Gods and other gods wont die from a drop of shadow anima. Thats the fact.

They still need protection against shadow anima - that's the shadow magic Guthix put in the World Guardian. Elder Gods will be killed by shadow anima too. That's why Jas has to wait after the World Guardian killed the Black Stone Dragon so the shadow anima shield is disabled to go into Kerapac's Lab to capture him.

Even with Mah's Core and Saradomin's Crown, Zaros probably won't survive the shadow anima for long unless there is somebody/something in Eureba to protect him.

You re still missing the point, shadow anima, even tho its harmful for normal anima beings such as Elder Gods, doesnt instantly kill. Also, tho this might be a debate for a different dedicated thread, we are yet to see how exactly the shadow anima is toxic. With all the info we have about it to this moment, while the word toxic is mainly used, the real thing that shadow anima does is nullifying normal anima. We are yet to see what will become of Zaros after he enters Erebus, perhaps all those followers of him that went there after they died will act as a shield for him. As for the Crown Archival, or The Locator, Zaros didnt take it for the purpose of protection but to locate something. So he is specifically seeking something in Erebus.

Nobody said poison always kills somebody including Elder Gods, however, the undeniable fact is Raksha has lived for thousands of years since the First Age when he stepped into the Codex. It is absolutely clear there is at least a way to get protected from the "poison" of shadow anima for at least thousands of years.

Poison can in many occasions be controlled or eliminated by a stronger poison. In that case, Corruption may protect an NPC from being killed by shadow anima... and guess who brings Corruption to Gielinor? :)

Mah's Core isn't what's protecting him in Erebus. It's highly unlikely it has enough from the corruption on her egg. He took Mah's Core to declare to Jas in Endgame that he should be her replacement.

"Jas. I am Zaros, firstborn of Mah. I come to claim my birthright! I possess the core of Mah. In her absence in your pantheon, I ask to take my place."

I'm pretty sure it's the entire canister of shadow anima that he took from Raksha's chamber that he's using to protect himself in Erebus.

It seems quite clear that being able to possess shadow anima in some capacity gives you protection from the environment of Erebus. Raksha says he'll "drag you into Erebus" so clearly he can either access it by opening a portal or he can survive there himself due to his infusion with shadow anima. The World Guardian is infused with shadow anima and can survive in those environments. Zaros took an entire container of shadow anima to protect himself in Erebus, so it seems likely he'll have infused himself with it to provide protection. That seems to be the key here, somehow merging the shadow anima with your own body provides the protection.

Nothing suggested Raksha was empowered by shadow anima. We actually see him absorbing shadown anima when fighting him rather.

In the context of this thread and in game lore, the "toxic" stuff to the Elder Gods et al refers to the shadow anima.

If you read Zaros's lines in Battle of Monolith when rejecting Azzanadra's request to follow him, he said (or at least he believed) Mah's Core and Saradomin's Crown are what will be protecting him in his journey to Erebus.

The lore states this clearly.

''The monolith imbued him with immense amounts of anima, turning it into a colossus. However, the power did not come from the Elder Gods, but from something else, making him into a particularly special "shadow" colossus.''

Hes also called shadow colossus for a reason. He was empowered with anima that dint came from the Elder Gods. With normal anima being an Elder Gods product the only anima left is the shadow anima to power him this much. Raskhsa fell into a coma because of the lack of shadow anima.

''It is later revealed that Raksha had slipped into a coma for tens of thousands of years since he thrived on shadow anima, something which had not been produced in ages after the Elder Gods had destroyed Kerapac's device.''
