"You do not have any active subscriptions."

I logged in today, intrigued about what the battle pass may hold, while verifying the ~20% necro xp nerf came into effect.

Then I took a look around the battle pass... 3 challenges, 3 lamps, ~77k xp for slayer total. Equivalent of a little more than 1 of yesterday's slayer challenges without using vis wax. Looked at the cosmetic rewards and noticed how... simplistic, basic, in design many feel. Having some plain items isn't objectively a bad thing, but as a "Huge" update, "a better, more rewarding Runescape"? I'm not sure to whom it is better or more rewarding, but it is definitely not to the players.

Reading the graphic posted with today's update stating, "Runescape's new bigger & better battle pass" feels like it can only ring true if one assumes it to mean it's bigger and better than any previous Runescape battle pass (because Runescape has never formally had a battle pass).

I want to emphasize - this is not to say the content released is objectively poorly done by design team or devs. There is a place for subtler, plain rewards, but to sell this in words as bigger, better, more rewarding? It feels insulting that Jagex believes the community will take smaller, lesser, as bigger and better simply because Jagex promotes it as such.

This update, truly, feels like I am observing an injured company trying to pull the most from its players through the least output possible. It feels like designers may have been given less resources, while financial and marketing teams were told to make it sound A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. When the two collide in one update, the people will notice.

I love this game, oft returning every few months or years across nearly two decades no matter where life goes, and it hurts my heart to see this was an agreed upon direction.

I think that's enough for now. Maybe we'll try again in few years.

I don't like it at all. I had high hopes for this update, but it's not what I imagined it would be. Would prefer the old yak track back instead. The cosmetics for this hero pass are bad. Nothing looks good on females. I would much rather have the old yak cosmetics and pets back. Yak was also a lot easier to understand. One of my "tasks" is to complete some quest... in order to complete that quest, about 10 other quests would need to be done! Why is questing even associated with this? Seems like a crap move. Should be a way to skip it. I had bonds saved to buy premier. Safe to say I won't be using them. In my opinion this update is a dumpster fire.

Is the daily challenge bugged?

1 account I had hunter and another account I had crafting, just did wildy evil tree and they both got marked as done during the chopping part.

Edit: Nevermind its double for training them skills but can get training any skill.

This is indeed intended and why Hero Pass is better than Yak Track for most causal players. Nobody is forced to train 3 random specific skills for Dailyscape. Every skill or no skill and just any activities gain us Hero Point.

Different characters may have different daily Missions but all can just do whatever they like in RS3 and complete the same Mission with the same rewards. I got Crafting in my toon and completed it in just 2 Farming Runs, while I AFKed Rituals and completed the mission for another toon that rolled a Herblore Mission.

I can also choose to not log in for a week or even month and can still gain all rewards for the entire 3 months in the days I prefer to play.

uninspired, unoriginal, money grabbing garbage.

Clearly jagex is just riding the battle pass trend with Yak Tracks and Hero pass. They have run out of original ideas and have decided that crap like this for easy money.

The interface is clunky and doesn't close when you press the X

The rewards are not great or interesting, all the newer cosmetics are overly design and ironically they all look the same because of it. Everything made by the art team these days just looks like some other thing with a recolor or a reskin.

Yet another thing to spam my chat with, filtered messages still give popups about hero pass

Just another sad attempt by jagex to milk the players for more money and premier memberships

As an ironman, the removal of daily challenges in exchange for the possibility of gaining cosmetics is the worst possible thing to do, lol.

Some of my skillgain and fun in the game relied on those challenges, the ability to CHOOSE those challenges and the xp gain I got from them. I don't see a reason why you wouldn't differentiate daily challenges from the daily hero missions. The daily system with their 'chestrewards' worked great in my opinion, both for ironmen and regular players.

I don't know what it's like for mainscapers, but for me personally this is just a horrendous update that will definitely make me play less because there's no particular reason for me to log in daily now.

P.S. The only thing I like is the "the Grave" title because as a HCIM that fits my name perfectly, lol.

This is a terrible update - no more keys for doing daily challenges and only popping a few minutes on busy days to get those keys - Yak track was never that popular but easy with skill or kill... why wipe out a popular part of the game just to repackage yak track... and killed the need for vis wax - if you keep this lame update let us buy up to 3 daily keys with vis wax.

I flat out do not like the Hero's Pass at all. It seems to have all the worst of Yak Track and none of the fun of the Daily Challenges. I've played RS for 16 years and am close to 16 years continuous never lapsed membership in a few weeks. This makes the gap between the Premier Members and the "Just Plain Members" rival the gap between Members and FTP. It also doesn't let you in on the secret of just how many repeats of what you have to do in the task equals one point. The "passes" and their price are far beyond my ability to pay for them. I clearly remember the days when the official policy of RS was there would *never* be a big gap between players who are lower income IRL and players who are wealthy IRL. This accentuates that gap.

I loved my little daily challenges. They were fairly quick and gave great XP. I'm older than nearly all the other players and my body can no longer take spending 5 or 6 hours or more playing. I have multiple chronic diseases including osteoarthritis, and Multiple Sclerosis and the fingers just don't move fast enough any more to boss or do lots of combat. I'd even settle for nerfing the XP for completing the challenges instead of only this (insert bad word/s of choice here.)

For the first time since I started playing RS I'm seriously thinking about quitting completely. Not taking a break from RS for a few weeks or months, but seriously quitting. There doesn't seem to be much for older players any more.

What you talking about now? The last few yak track was always a choice of 1 task or skill and kill so you could do ANYTHING. Daily challenges you could turn off 99/120/200m skills, but I got a hunter weekly challenge and already 200m, and no you cannot train any other skill for the weekly challenge only the daily ones which use to take -5 mins for 220k xp and now we get no extra xp.
