I forgot.... i was entitled for the daily chest. I used to open them on Tuesdays..
I guess 6 chests with good xp/items are gone.

Im still wearing my outfit of day 1.
I dont change and i don't give a thing about outfits. I never look at them, i never try them. Im happy with what im wearing.

From what I've seen the new update is all about that.

It disappoints me Jagex didn't gave any of us the option to get the chests before pushing the new update into our faces. That's not fair, that's not right.

What I expect of Jagex is updates for the young and fast gamers, but also consider the other not as fast gamers who consistently supported this game with skilling and their habits.

Agility is the highlighted skill for my daily challenge. I noticed the skilling dummies give no progress. That's probably a good thing, because I have no reason to stockpile them now. They can get used for double XP events.

Having us play the actual game is a good idea. For agility the Seren Posts work, so that daily content is improved.

I like the overhead 'drops' for hero points. I was relying on the chat message to be unfiltered but that is not so important now. I already see complaints about it. I might be willing to concede that point now. :P

Thing is, I can imagine this system fading into the background because I already play the game regularly.

The daily reset loses importance, because I am going to gain this daily progress regardless. I saw the Yak as a race to feast on the XP, which was always active.

Those were special events to me, extra bits. Here it's just part of the game. That's probably the intention, but it doesn't feel as strong or interesting IMO.

The hours required seem pretty brutal.

162,000 hero points to get level 120.
240 hero points earned per hour = 675 hours to get max hero track level without missions.

91 dailies in the event = 91x3x125 = 34,125 earnable
13 weeks in the event = 13x1250 = 16,250 earnable
13 general missions = 13x2000 = 26,000 earnable
special missions = 20,000 earnable

65,625 hero points still required to grind with the 240/hr assuming all tasks are done which still works out to 273 hours to reach 120. Or you can buy levels.

Also, gg to everyone who can't complete the first weekly in 1 day 12 hours. +5 hours to the previously mentioned 273 hours make up for the missed 1250 points. It's also awesome that the first weekly mission is earn 2500 hero points which requires over 10 hours of game play in the 36-hour period they gave us for the week.

Buffs seem cool and the 100% speed boost on the dailies isn't too game breaking. Maybe saves 20 minutes a day if you're really set on saving time vs doing what you want. Yak track skips and daily challenge skip tokens didn't transfer correctly (or there were undisclosed caps) but I guess anything is better than nothing. Not like you can spend 100s of skip tokens when there was only a weeks' notice or two.

Never really cared about the specific rewards so it's all the same. Not a fan of how they broke the bonus xp rates up into 4 different categories, that it only reaches 15% now instead of 20%, or that artisan's 15% is tied to reaching 120. Still better than nothing.

5/5 stars. Only recommendations would be to get rid of the expirations on daily and weekly missions kind of like how general missions will pile up without expiration. This would make it so more people can at least reach 99 in around 100 hours of game play. I'd recommend rebalancing the hero points too, but I think it's clear they only want a small percentage of players to reach 120. Emphasis on the reward for playing more... either pay your way through it or play 3 hours/day.

I'm going to miss my daily challenges, they were why I logged in daily. Going to reflect for a while on why I log in at all.

There is such a disparity in the rewards favoring premier over regular membership, it's time for premier only servers. Keep the premier perks off of regular member worlds.

I had been fretting on what I'll do when Microsoft eol's my current Windows as I don't intend to go to 11 and its enhanced telemetry/marketing. As RS is my only Windows only experience, I'm thinking I'm close to done. It's been a good 15 years of paid membership.

Worst "major update" in years. Jagex complained about dailyscape and then set up an almost 2 hour dailyscape mission requirement if you want to spend the minimum amount of time to get to 120 Hero Pass. Or you can just cough up money for skips, another thing the mods said they wanted to get away from.

Thems who have money to burn win. Congratulations Jagex, you torched all the good will and praise from the Necromancy rollout in under a month.

Daily challenges:
- 100k xp
- 3 keys
- fast and easy

Hero pass (dailies):
- 60k xp (small, medium, large lamp)
- 0 keys
- long to get (especially the 3rd one), can't toggle maxed skills

All in all, a big NO from me.

No xp lamps for irons doing any level of daily challenge so there goes daily 220k xp. Even the old reward bag was nice.

Main gets daily challenges on skills that are 200m and pointless xp lamps.

Logic?

I enjoyed daily challenges, they were simple, and clearly laid out, and you could turn off certain skills and focus rewards where you wanted them.

Don't fix what ain't broke I say unless it's just a money thing; in that case .......blah whatev.

+1 for me

and they used the excuse that daily challenges were too stressful for us. Was that an April Fool's Day joke in Sept or what? Hero's Pass looks way more complicated and stressful

TBH it's pretty annoying all the buffs given to "premier" members. I mean I pay by standing order every month, why should "premier" be given all these extra buffs? Do you want me to cancel my standing order and buy bonds when I remember instead?
