this hero pass is something i dont like, i much prefered the challenges we had before. was there a poll for this? was we even asked our opinion or input on this.... i thought the players get to choose the direction of the game via the polling. I guess the polling is only useful for "major updates", like new areas, or new skills.... the intergame activities dont count i guess..... ok thats it rant over

I dont like it, i dont see how i can ever like it,
it feels like Choice and Freedom is being taken away.

Solution:
If there was only 1 hero pass (3 months) per year, that would give us 9 months of PEACE and QUIET, that would problebly be something I could enjoy.

Im standing somewhere on a agility platform in Priff staring into the distance,
29/50 laps . Thinking about the next task I wont like ( 50 clues, dungeoneering floors, Distractions&Diversions, runespan ) why cant I use vis wax to change the skill/task?

I wish Jagex just inscreased membership prices instead of this Hero crap, theres nothing heroic about 1600 hours of FOMO.

For now im upset, because there is NO end, after 3 months, it will start again, or continue..

I cant find the words for anything positive.

I dont like the getting hero points every minute.

OK, another day. I have a "special mission" to catch 800 fish. It is 100% true that I have (as of typing this out) just over 89 days to get it done. But like so many others, I do not want to fish anymore. I have almost 65K cooked sailfish. I still have several hundred uncooked sailfish. I have 120 fishing (and many other skills, but not all of them).

So I cannot complete this mission "playing my way". The only way I can complete this mission is to fish for several hours (for useful fish), taking me away from other skills upon which I do wish to work. Or, as so many others have pointed out, I have to buy (Micro Transaction) my way out of it.

Note, I have not even looked into how I might buy my way through that fishing mission. I simply will not buy those. It is my choice, so I am not complaining about it. But I am stating that if the goal was to convince me to buy my way through it, you do not understand me or the way that I play.

I will not go so far as to say I will give up premier membership. Others who wish to pay for these are welcome to do so, I am not upset about that.

But I am going to hope that you bring back "blocking" things in which I am already at maximum level (not max experience, max level). And I am NOT going to buy my way out of those that get assigned where I am already maxed out - I am going to "play my way" anyway.

Hero Pass pretty much stinks. Just something that totally rips off my VIP membership. Which was my 3 key rewards and keys from my daily tasks. Notice that Hero Pass lasts until the end of VIP Membership. This should of been an addition to the regular tasks. Not a replacement. The rewards stink too.

I got VIP membership too, and I can tell you our VIP membership doesn't cover the 3 keys rewards from my daily tasks.

I personally find the whole Hero Pass thing to be a useless waste of time. To me, it's just another way Jagex is trying to get players to do what the JMods want them to do, and not what the players THEMSELVES want to do.

A few comments of mine, overall:
1. I'm not a hero, don't want to be, don't plan to be, and won't be forced to be. I'm just an ordinary person happily doing ordinary things and not bothering anybody or anything.

2. I did look at some of the tasks on my Hero Pass list, and they involve doing a spit ton of cr*p in skills I've already MAXED. Useless, waste of time and energy. I guess their system doesn't look at our stats, huh?

3. This reminds me of some time back, Jagex posted a question asking what kind of bosses ppl wanted to see in game for the future. My reply, which never got acknowledged by the JMod who started the discussion, was: "I retired over 10 years ago so I refuse to have anythng to do with any bosses if I can help it. "
A friend in game who, ten yrs ago, tried to get me to go to GWD with him and his brothers, kept nagging me to join them. I finally shut him up when I gave him a less elegant answer that what I told that JMod above: "I'm 64 and female. I don't have to prove how big my balls are."

End note: What Jagex, IMO, needs to do is talk to the player base and find out what THEY want, and not try to impose on the players some nebulous vision they have that the players don't like, don't want, or can't understand. Like they have set up with OSRS.

Maybe they could retain more players on RS3 if we got the same consideration the OSRS player base gets.

You can stick to do whatever you want to do and still get substantial rewards. Why not? This is exactly what I am going to do.

So you don't want to boss then you expect Jagex's games don't have any boss? Do you get the same consideration in OSRS and they don't put bosses in the game? So OSRS asked their player bases if they liked Ruinous Powers prayers added to the game, the playerbase told them yes but let the playerbase down and cancelled Ruinous Powers altogether without even giving them a chance to poll again. I personally don't want RS3 Jmods to "listen" and then make a U-turn to go away from the playerbase the OSRS way.

I want RS3 to listen to the community, everyone in the community the RS3 way, but absolutely not the OSRS flip flopping and promise breaking way.

You pretty much need to do your dailies and the special missions if you hope to complete the pass, as regular gameplay takes several hours more to obtain the same amount of Hero Points - and if you -really- wanna get everything in the pass, you need to go P A S T 120 and repeat the hero store step at the end several times over as all of the cosmetics in the Hero Store can't be purchased by the points in the store that go throughout 120.

It's not a broken promise if the community ultimately gets what they want. In the case of Ruinous Powers, it was to kill the new prayers altogether because they couldn't reach a consensus on how they should be implemented.

It's okay if you like having Jagex make their own decisions and make changes when asked for - but Jagex needs to actually W A N T to listen to feedback and make those changes, otherwise you get situations like this where you're on an island while everyone else is viscerally upset.
