"Another side of it is engagement for heavy users. There could be advanced content that satisfies their needs, but doesn't get included in completionist requirements. A self-contained economy of gear. An extra tier of cosmetics that are appealing and worthy of showing off, etc."
I posted that back on page 20. It looks like Jagex is way ahead of me, there is some of that included in the new quest. LVL 120 combat with some high quality cosmetics.
Me personally, I look at that and say no way I can do it. But it gives me something to consider long-term. For the players already advanced in combat, they can sink their teeth in and get something cool for the effort.
If that isn't popular, then I am totally lost. I will have to re-consider everything I think I know about the players.
To be clear, if people come out saying it is impossible that's a good thing. If it's a completionist requirement that's a bad thing. IMO.
Didn't we have LVL 138 long long ago already? I just don't see how "LVL 120 combat" would be any issue for too many players, especially now we have not just LVL 138, but LVL 152 Combat.
Make no mistakes though even if you think LVL 120 out of LVL 152 combat is too much for you, as nowhere did the new Quest blog say we need any part of that "LVL 120 combat" for Hero Pass.

Cool, it should be super easy for you then. LVL 152. Nice.
I doubt if LVL 120, 138 or 152 will have anything to do with Hero Pass, as there is no indication whatsoever we need such LVL now for any Hero Pass missions now. What makes you think it will be different going forward? We are only 4 days from the next batch of great Hero Pass updates anyway. It won't take long for us to see the truth.
I will not explain. You can refer back to the post I mentioned. Bottom of page 20. This is an ongoing thread, every post isn't some puzzle to be solved.
The good thing about Hero Pass is its missions are much like Yak Track. Even when combat is required, the mobs are scaled to the combat level of the players. Hence Dead and Buried is never a problem to any combat level, neither are there anything on the horizon of Hero Pass that require high combat level.
