I have been thinking about this for awhile. As someone who does enjoy the game. But tries to be measured in critique. There will be very little bitching in this post.

1st off, as a general rule I like battlepass systems, with some caveats I find that they provide an element of focus lacking in gameplay generally in open games like this. I like having micro and macro goals to work towards, and being handed some easy ones, via a battlepass in nice.

I would like to say however. I HATED Yak Track as an event. It felt... Poorly implemented as a battlepass system. And the tasks inside of it, were, ultimately, pointless for me. And I wound up not participating in the 3 I've been around for. The tasks were too specific, in regards to each individual level.

My general critique of the current Hero Pass, is that it feels like besides the rollout being botched, utterly, and the gameplay affecting MTX at high tiers. It's fairly well designed.

It provides exactly what I like from a battlepass. Which is incentives to focus on many aspects of gameplay I'd otherwise ignore.

I do not like the idea of adding back in daily challenges. I think swapping out the old challenge system for one integrated tighter into the battlepass system was a good idea. I think if you were to add back in the slayer challenge as another gameplay system, maybe as a D&D it would be perfect. There is no reason to double up on the daily challenges. Especially as the current implementation, post changes, of the former daily challenge reward mechanism is superior. And lower in time scale to complete, to boot.
....r

Considering this post seems to be particularly passive aggressive in its' targeting, and that this is your only post. I will take it as a slight against me. And to you, sir, I say:
UP YOURS!

They wanted an all-in-one system to handle the daily login bonus, increase engagement, replace the Yak AND improve value for key buyers.

They said 30% of the players were expected to actually finish the event. Meaning, everyone else would be or could be tempted to buy skips.

It is balanced for the 30%. Presumably, these players also have the play time and game knowledge to get by on bonds.

Not everyone does. They couldn't. The system would never work. My question is: why should that specific group of cohorts (lol) set the standard, and therefore, the cost in time or money that should apply to everyone else? They are immune to it all, and would get the best rewards regardless.

If you take MTX out of the equation and make it only a player engagement 'extra', we're still down a Yak Track type event and the keys are still stale.

Is the 30% also the driving force behind limiting buffs? That would be almost rude.

Another side of it is engagement for heavy users. There could be advanced content that satisfies their needs, but doesn't get included in completionist requirements. A self-contained economy of gear. An extra tier of cosmetics that are appealing and worthy of showing off, etc.

We definitely can't buy skips and Daily Challenges and Hero Pass will separate in early October in case if you don't know.

I've not played since the addition of hero pass, I instantly seen it for what it was. Gold digging.

But in retrospect I think what irritates me the most about loosing daily challenges is the progressive rewards we attained from them. The system now doesn't award Aura refreshes, Ports crates, Deathtouch Darts, Minigame Resets, or any of the great rewards I looked forward to every week. Rewards that ensured that no matter what I logged in every single day.

They replaced those rewards with a bunch of cosmetics that for me personally, I'll never ever use.

I guess I could learn to live with Hero Pass if it actually gave good rewards, IMO its junk. I don't go shopping IRL and buy garbage I hate and will never use, so why pay to play for the same? Bring in those good progressive rewards and I could probably live with it, although I could see it now, the DTD would be @ lvl 120 so I'd never get that, as I have a busy life and could never spend the time required to complete it.

Jagex has just lost touch with it's players and I do see they are trying, which is good , but the whole thing just really left a bad taste for me, there's way better ways to spend my time and money on.

In short, bring back the progressive goodies, Less garbage, after all I am paying for a product, it should be a product I value or I won't buy it, simple as that.

In case if you don't know, you don't have to play Hero Pass. You can just do whatever thing you like to do in RS3 and still get Hero Points and rewards. Just open your Hero Pass Interface and hit the CLAIM button to get a bunch of rewards.

The Daily Challenge system will be reinstated in early October, it should take long for you to get the old Daily Challenge system rewards, like DTD or whatever you love to get.

So you want us to do the skill picked by the game in hero's pass daily

So if you have 200 mill how do you track or just not give us with the known glitch any reward for doing as you asked

So if you can't gain exp in a skill, which in turn means no hero points, why is jagex and hero's pass asking me to do it

"Knocks on glass window" WAKE up will ya WAKE UP

Fortunately you are wrong! We can just do almost everything we like, and ignore the skill assigned for the Daily Mission and can still get it done. It will just take a few more minutes if you pick a different skill.
