Can confirm that ^that^ does work.

Why, Jagex, why?
It is quite simple, with 1 safe login in '
The Lobby
' you are able to reach out to all directions necessary '
to safely get into contact with Jagex/JMods
' without getting rerouted/redirected over The Internet, where a players' communication could be followed by 3rd parties.

'
The Lobby
' is the safest '
doorway/corridor
' to '
The Office
' for the RuneScape Community.

The 'why' is more like 'why doesn't the other automatic login through the homepage work like it does with everyone else' and 'why didn't they let me create a jagex account from my home pc'.
It's those little things that annoy me... It shouldn't be this user-unfriendly.

To be honest ... all logins do work flawlessly as how they should work ... but you were on the search for less roadblocks so I gave you one.

Yah yah yah yah ... easy peasy.

I have (x) invites ... (x) options to create (x) Jagex Accounts.

It is easy to say that you have done that 6 months ago but closer to the source it's easier to seek contact and raise your concerns and elaborate how to proceed.

For The RuneScape Community it is a whole other procedure as you have to trust on hearsay of others hoping that they can visualise all issues that could rise and solve those with you.

Than there's Jagex Launcher and how to tackle those issues.

Apart from some tech issues I did find showing that Recommended specifications ... <- (link) in '
Jagex's Support Centre
' isn't really an honest picture.
This, I believe, is a reason why some players are reluctant to make said change to Jagex Accounts as long as they are able to keep their RuneScape Accounts as safe as they always have been doing.

I am still behind said change but it is at best said a murky procedure done at the last minute.
I have done what I needed to do and upgraded all my accounts ... seperately ... and even was stunned by something I wasn't aware that was possible, but after minutes of being stunned/baffled I did proceed fixing my concerns and leave it behind me not worth to mention it at all. As the longer I think about it I start to have more doubts about what I saw/experienced.

For now I haven't seen someone else even talking about such issue ...

Does anyone know about how spam/junk folders operate? I just realized my email doesn't actually show a number next to the spam folder, I need to manually hover over it to see if any are in there.

I sent myself a test message and it went to spam. Do we have to 'rescue' any email that gets sent there? Like what happens if I never saw it? Do they always get sent there until I find it or add to contact list?

I have no spam filters or anything like that. I have been through it with a fine tooth comb several times.

Edit: to be clear, I was testing incoming, not outgoing.

Depending on your email provider, you do have the option to "rescue" them from there. For example, I reported one as spam and this is what I am shown once I visit the Spam folder:

If I click on the "Report not spam", then those emails will keep coming normally to my Inbox. So, yes, if you do "rescue" them from the Spam folder, they will keep coming in normally to your Inbox. If you don't "rescue" them or if you never check the Spam folder, then, usually, those emails in there get automatically deleted by your email provider after 30 days.

Thanks, it's like they try so hard to block the spam that I might have missed things I wanted.

That's part of what worries me, I have so many different logins and notes. There could be a point where I have locked myself out of everything. I keep track of it all but it's getting more complicated and I'm not getting any smarter. :p

It's nice to see an active discussion here, but since I created this thread to see when I was going to upgrade to a Jagex account and that I now have recently done so, it might get time to lock it soon.

Unless someone disagrees I'll ask to have this locked next week Friday (November 17) so any discussions can run their natural course to a conclusion or have time to continue elsewhere.

It was a pleasure having most of you here and hearing your advice on the matter. :)

I've realized a lot of my concern comes from a lack of knowledge about how the newer windows versions work. Back in the day it was all about performance, and squeezing anything you could get. So I was always digging through the settings and making adjustments. With faster processors that's never an issue. More concerned about heat.

I'm learning, and trying to make all the best decisions for peace of mind.
