For other games - I learned to be more efficient (for better or worse).

In real life - probably made me a better written communicator, thanks to forums/clan discussions etc.

Plus this! -

I learned the financial markets (GE tax and Jenga economy using grass root players' tax to bail out selected items), M&A and Jagex RWT (yes it is allowed if Jagex is selling the products they owned) like buy membership get a chance to win a cash prize in a competition, membership time, real world products etc... raffles, plushies giveaways etc.

Jenga economy doesn't only apply to items and GE tax. Some games also try very hard to play Jenga with content creators. However, the end result is still the same put small blocks of tiny content creators on the top of a crumbling Jenga structure won't change the dynamics and maths. The gain of the small content creators coming from elsewhere are absolutely the losses of the grass root level of the crumbling Jenga structure.

Rest assured, for a few days, perhaps small content creators elsewhere may see the selected piece they put on the top making more money, so they will try to make some money the same way... However, there is really no free money for more small Oliver Twists who politely ask " Please sir, I want some more...". So Ka-blooomm... down falll the Jenga,, no IFs, ANDs, and BUTs. The writing is on the Jenga. :)

A lot of very easy money making methods even for F2P in RS3. Even free playes can tank hides or make dyes or just AFK mining iron ores and make 4 to 7 mil gp/hr. Absolutely no Jenga scheme and false advertising involved.

We should easily learn from real world metrics the Jagex Content Creator Jenga Scheme doesn't work very well for them:

https://twitchstats.net/game/459931-Old%20School%20RuneScape

Despite of paying RS3 streamers to create OSRS content in recent months, as well as the OSRS Team openly admitted favoritism to content creators, Jagex still failed badly to stop the real world from seeing their viewership continue to decline the last months. This month it is at 5,592 or only about half of what they were earlier in the year.

Jenga scheme never works to the non-communist world when everybody can see the actual real numbers.

The world should also learn Jagex really doesn't have a "Top 10 Twitch Game" as they advertised on the Jagex Product webiste, really far from that actually.

Jagex is counting on their publishing platforms and other games big time now.

Big Jagex Platform sales going on now:

Guess what? Headlining the big Jagex Platform sales is SCUM, not Runescape. Even if you still haven't learned about Jagex's future, the real world consumers should have. :)

MSFT just completed their acquisition of ABK a few days ago. This is going to have big time effects to the other video gaming dominos.

Conglomeration of almost all business sectors always leads to the rich getting richer and the poor will be either absorbed into a huge monstrosity or cease to exist. As MSFT is becoming the McDonold's of the video game industry, Walmart of the retail industry and such, we are going to see the other monstrosities like Burger King and Wendy's, or Costco and Amazon go on their own conglomeration sprees to stay competitive. The MSFT-ABK marriage also cleared a big antitrust hurdle, so the smaller biggies like Tencent, EA, SONY, Nintendo et al have a clear path to merge with many others.

Conglomeration of the video game industry will be a double edged sword for smaller entities like Jagex. The good news is the other biggest in the gaming industry, or even MSFT themselves will be more willing to buy them. However, the not so good news is there will be plenty of not-so-big gaming entities willing to sell because of the fear of becoming extinct if they aren't bought.

Jagex has prepared to sell themselves for quite a while anyway, so it seems like Jagex has more urgency to be sold sooner than later.
