Jagex doesn't think their Runescape games are news worthy, or Jagex's Runescape games are actually not news worthy as Jagex has absolutely nothing regarding RS3 and OSRS on their official website News Page since Novermber 2022, or over a year ago:

Having modern technologies is very important. Technologies play a big role on how much longer a game can survive, but that's not all. We have also seen even the RSOF is going out of business because they don't have the technologies to compete with where modern patrons want to go.

Either huge number of viewers of a game doesn't mean a thing or Jagex may have found themselves another "huge" game.

For whatever reason, SCUM is getting over 10k viewers and what the hell is that "Bubblescum" event? It wasn't an update or seemingly just a community run event. Interesting!

Anyway, if the SCUM community is finally coming together, congrats to Gamepires and Jagex for having a game that can have more concurrent viewers than the huge OSRS.

Learned not to click any link embedded in a livestream.

Swindlers are getting really desperate and pretend to be huge now when they may be on the blink of extinction. Don't click those fake "Double XP now on OSRS" and whoever are "quitting, final stream" links.

Of course I learned a lot because I don't confine myself to the RSOF, but it can't be said to every RSOF user.

Now with RSOF on its last leg, undoubtedly some users may have to see the "hugggeeee" social media... but remember a lot of those "hugggeee" things are fake and they may not be better than the RSOF with just "4 concurrent users".

At least in all my time spent in the RSOF, I have never seen anybody getting scammed by clicking a link through the RSOF,

Learned an indie developer much smaller and failed more often on their games than Jagex can turn into an overnight sensation even bigtime mainstream news outlets like CNN made headlines of.

"#Palworld has sold over 7 million copies in only 5 days."

https://www.cnn.com/2024/01/24/tech/palworld-sales-pokemon-with-guns/index.html

If nobodys like Pocket Pair can make 7 million copies x $30 each or $210 million in 7 days with their well kept and absolutely no-hype secret survival game Palworld, after failing many times with games like Craftopia, no sayings the bigger and more known Jagex and the likes never can.

Not just on the $$$ side, they blew away all big AAA titles with over 2 million concurrent players on Steam, and that's just Steam alone. With their presence on other consoles and Windows platforms, there may well be over 2.5 million concurrent players now.

It resembles Riot's amusing overnight rose to fame from a noname 40 man indie developers to eventually one of the biggest AAA game company.

Perhaps Jagex can learn a thing, or two from the survival games of other even smaller potatoes.
