You stand there idle, you get log out because of the short 5 minutes AFK timer now, that's why players asked for extending the AFK timer. Mod Jack also told us why they want to balance the active and AFK activities and the timer. Not only RS3, OSRS has an AFK timer of 25 minutes. Those are all clear reasons why we are getting the AFK timer extended.

You don't get logged out though, you get sent to the lobby where it's only one click to get straight back to where you were.
I'm sorry, but you're failing to give me any reason why this is a good change. Just because "Jagex says so" doesn't wash with me. They haven't given me any good reason either.

We still get log out of W84 and all in game content. That's a very annoying feature, if not a time wasting concerns on busy worlds, that we humans can avoid with a longer AFK logout time. Why not?

With longer log out times, you're going to have to wait much longer to get into those servers, that's why.

The contrary is true. When we don't get log out, we don't have to log back into the servers. We, meaning humans, aren't programmed to click login immediately following a server forced logout.

Perhaps you should think of others who want to get in to
actively
play on W84 instead of doing absolutely nothing at all...

AFK timer won't matter to players who want to get in to
actively
play at all.
W84 is primarily the AFK skilling stations sharing place, typically players who want to
actively
play will choose a less populated word anyway.

Those making use of the portable stations tend to be mostly active. Many portable station actions are over within 4-15 seconds - much shorter than the 10 minute log out timer. Yes, some last longer, but none last longer than 5 minutes.
So after your avatar has finished doing their 4-300 seconds of actions, they will be stood around for 300-596 seconds doing nothing, preventing other players from getting into the server.
If every player does this, then you yourself will not be able to get into the server.

Selfishness sucks.

Activities that require 4 seconds of actions don't seem to be affected with the AFK timer extension anyway. The problem is the 300 seconds ones. Humans have to pay close attention to when their 300 seconds batch complete and often get logged out now.
Don't you realize we have alternative places for those more active 4 seconds of actions players? Fort Forinthry and GE on more populated worlds for that reason?
