Wow. Seems kind of harsh, especially since a lot of players take breaks from the game for that long or longer on a regular basis. I think you can expect some irate players. So you kindly inform players that you don't PC items that aren't rares and don't kick them, but you're going to kick them for asking prices of rares...SMH.

Edit: I suggest you at least tell them why they're being kicked before doing so, as is supposed to be done anyway but nobody ever seems to. This should save some grief and avoid people coming into the cc wondering why or getting mad and spamming the fc etc.

The problem is that anywhere from 50-100 people ask for phats/bsh every day. That gives an average of like 500 requests per week, or times 15000 people since we stopped pricing them. The healthy rs player base is only ~60k players on rs3.

I highly doubt that 1/4 the player base can afford phats or are interested in quark which leaves me to believe that the majority of people are intentionally doing it to cause fc issues, have short term memory loss or just just too stupid to not understand after the warnings for 6 months. If people can remember the fc after long breaks, they can remember how to check the forums too.

The people are getting kicked, not being added to kos. When they get kicked from the fc they can use that hour to learn how to use the forums since we aren't responsible for maintaining outdated/heavily manipped ranges through falsified, late and/or selectively reported forum trades in the fc anymore.

Thanks for the reply. I see. I didn't realize it was that much of an issue and yeah, I can see players asking just to annoy even when they already know. But still, not everyone is going to know which items are and aren't above max since some come and go, like wreath at least.

I still think it would be best to say something like "no max items here" before kicking so at least they (and everyone else) know why, in case they really are ignorant. There are likely some "innocents" asking legitimately thinking the items are still pc'd, and you know people can take it personally and then act out when they feel they have been wrongly kicked.

NO! Due to the conditions of the current market, R Quark Friends chat has suspended making ranges and pricing the items in the fc. What does this means to fc members?

If you are unsure where to go to get the most up to date prices, refer to the forum thread to see the most recent trades, and/or ask members in the clan chat Clan Quark to see who the trusted community members are with the friends chat and forums.

Why do I keep getting kicked when asking for Partyhat or Black santa items?

There was a period of 6 months to transition everyone to the appropriate forum posts and guides to get up to date prices. The more recent months have resulted in
my
trolls and alts trying to disrupt the fc by causing spam while continuously asking how to use the forums to get prices, so the friends chat R Quark has decided to mention there are no max items being price checked,
and are then kicked
to prevent unnecessary disturbances. If YOU happen to be a new player or don't know what to do after getting kicked, try going the Discontinued Status Thread forum or Clan Quark to ask for help. The kicks only last for 1 hour and that time out of the fc is a good time to learn the proper ways of getting the best and most accurate prices of items above Max Cash. Former PCer and rank in the "R Quark", "TH Rares PC" and "Nex and SS" Friend's Chats. Now independently operating.

People that come back from long breaks should be checking on the updates they missed while they were gone. There are a few resources available to do this. The ones that don't end up posting to Reddit "Been gone for X Years, what did I miss?". That is an example of being lazy.

Why should using a friends chat be any different? I mean, if I was going somewhere in real life I hadn't been in a while (or been before at all), I'd make sure to do a little reading to make sure I was as familiar with the area as much as possible before stepping foot there. Maybe I come from a different time where doing your research was common sense. But as they say, sometimes common sense isn't so common. Regardless, the rules thread has still been here for years.

We've gone through a lot of changes of what we pc and how we pc over the years, so people should be susceptible to change already. Again, its only a temporary kick. They've had 6 months to get used to this.

The only thing I might suggest adding, whether it be Lyra or Trips would be to link to this thread in the first post of v50/subsequent threads. First post should probably also have an update saying that items above max are forums only, which would be in sync with what these rules say.
