Regarding project 4 - This one should probably be scrapped as Jagex already communicates at least weekly in the CLD, sometimes daily with live discussions progressing back and forth between Mod Shauny and any of the Clan leaders that are on at the time.
In-game meetings were something that was done a really long time ago (Back in the Mod Timbo era). Mod MattHe also hosted a few of them in the opening months of his time with us in CLF.

I guess it's something of a tradition, and quite frankly I think it'd be kinda cool if we could take 1-2 hours every month to hang out and chat. There's plenty of people who choose to not participate in the Discord servers for various reasons, and quite frankly I don't think it's fair for them to have to pass up the opportunity to directly give their feedback to Jagex. Besides, it'd be much better for these little chat sessions to take place somewhere where Jagex is in control (e.g. CLF or in-game). CLF is a forum, not a chatroom, so it's a bit harder to get those steady conversations.

I'd personally love to attend these sorts of meetings again, they were so much fun. My only condition would (of course) be that Shauny had time to do them :P He's doing so much for Clans and Jagex as it is.

"4 Clan leader meetings with J-Mods being revived - not yet started but this will be looking at all communication methods so the final method may be something different.
Have sent an email to Jagex and am waiting for feedback.
"

I'm not saying the meetings themselves should be scrapped. Communication with Jagex is critical. I too would love to see periodic meetings start up again. where everyone can get involved.

However, we already have their attention in the CLD along with regular communication. Why bother to send a personal e-mail when we could just as easily address the matter in the CLD or CLF? I just don't see the point in it.

Why not just post the question in the CLD 'J-mod q and a' and follow up in the CLF?

edit: p.s. This is not an idea exclusive to any one Discord or any one person as Jmod meetings have taken place in the past.

BIG CHANGES IN THE CLAN LEADER DISCORDS

By now most people are aware of the significant changes that have occurred in the original Clan Leaders Discord (CLD). And some people will have noticed that work from this server (Clan Leader Central) is now being included in CLD. For the present, this will continue to be the case with a very close association between the two. Four of the 'staff' in CLD are also helpers in CLC.

For now, we are continuing our complementary activities but, speaking personally, it is a great relief to be able to openly discuss ideas and concepts across both servers.

A decision about integration and closure of CLC will only be made democratically within CLC. Either way, the work of CLC will be continuing, maybe increasing its 'clan to community focus', which again depends on support by the group.

What do I mean by 'clan to community focus' - the end of year survey has shown that INDIVIDUAL players, when asked, will not place community/clans high on their priorities. However, any change in community atmosphere can have the most profound effect on all RuneScape games. There is a need for us as clan leaders to recognize our part in keeping the playing community healthy, and there is plenty of work to be done in this area.

Whether this is done under the name of CLD, CLC or Florence's Fine Flowers is beside the point. The important thing is that as clan leaders we are passionate about our clans and the health of RuneScape.

FOR ANYONE WONDERING WHAT HAS BECOME OF CLC

It is now more than one month after the changes to management team in CLD. The announcement about their feedback survey was released around two weeks ago, and contained a fair bit of information relating to CLC. During this one month period, CLC was yet again sitting back waiting to see if merging was feasible.

For various reasons, the ability to openly discuss ideas and concepts across both servers did not work out, in my opinion this is because the 2 servers are just too different, apples and oranges as the expression goes. Not to mention the fact that CLD has enough to cope with managing the JMod QandA process as well as the implementation of new by-laws and rules.

So, a decision has been made that CLC will be continuing, increasing its 'clan to community focus', and now also allowing non clan 'Community Leaders' to take part, a change which has been supported by the group. It will also open up to any players who want to take part in presenting and developing ideas to make the RS player communities (RS3 and OldSchool RS) healthier and more social, with suggestions for group and social activities.

The CLF section remains intact, as well as feedback processes to CLF. A name change for this post is being requested, to reflect the new mandate of the group.

If you have questions feel free to contact me here or on discord, Noeticus#4729, cheers!
