WEEKLY PROGRESS REPORT 4


Project 1 - Had some significant last minute Player Survey question additions - it seems a few more people are interested in helping, each with a specialist perspective that really needs to be covered off in the questions. I will chase them up and have made sure they realise it has to finalize asap. There was also some clarification and testing of the logistics. Remaining logistics question is just how to deliver this for people who won't follow a link to a google form. May need a short version that can be completed via forums.

Project 2 - Similar situation, new people adding some questions.

Project 3 - progressing - listing of clan ideas with most recent Jagex response has been started - due to the fact that this listing will be only able to be used by CLF members, several technologies are being investigated. Apart from that technological side, the layout of the information is being done differently, ensuring that the reasons for the request are described, and also assessing the value to the game - this assists with prioritization as well as allowing more creative thinking around solutions.

Project 4 - Have sent an email to Jagex and am waiting for feedback.

Project 5 - this is a video to be made by Rswillmissit - no one has expressed interest in taking part in this one - work needed is on final concept then scripting. The concept would be loosely related to Jagex and clan leaders while being totally respectful of course.

Project 6 - This one will relate to the results of the surveys - as well as which key clan updates we can identify - and would be informed feedback to Jagex IF a clan system rework was to be done... please toss your thoughts in on this one - it has big dependencies on RS3 dev effort, RS3 balance with OSRS etc.

Project 1 - All late coming questions resolved. Logistics almost finalized. Google Forms completion or email submission now set up.

Project 2 - New questions integrated.

Project 3 - technological side is more sorted, and some volunteers will be continuing this soon.

Project 4 - Have sent an email to Jagex and am waiting for feedback.

Project 5 - No change from last week.

Project 6 - Longer term, will be starting in 2018, early.

There is also another project formulating from input of a veteran clan leader who has great ideas relating to clan 'citadel' and group skilling.

We have set up a list of 4 things to do - note 1 and 2 are linked as are 3 and 4:

1 The Collaborative player survey on clans and community - Collaborative Clans Survey - will be available as a draft within the next 2 or 3 days using google forms;
All late coming questions resolved. Logistics almost finalized. Google Forms completion or email submission now set up.

2 The clan leader survey will be more filled for everyone to review / comment / add questions by next weekend;

3 Update JMod Feedback post in CLF and look into better ways to manage a listing of updates we would like - looking at using some agile business analyst techniques here to more clearly articulate the features clan leaders want;

4 Clan leader meetings with J-Mods being revived - not yet started but this will be looking at all communication methods so the final method may be something different.

If anyone has any questions about these projects feel free to discuss on discord with either Jigzag#2932 or Noeticus#4729 or other helpers on the Collaborative CLF Discord.


Regarding projects 1 and 2, I did post questions about the Survey on the relevant thread a few weeks back but to date my questions have not been answered, though the project has moved on.

Regarding project 4 - This one should probably be scrapped as Jagex already communicates at least weekly in the CLD, sometimes daily with live discussions progressing back and forth between Mod Shauny and any of the Clan leaders that are on at the time.

To answer the above yes Project 1 has moved on but some input would still be available to you on the final prior to release. Please let us know if you want to review it when its ready. Project 2 is still open for people to add questions they want covered.

In terms of Project 4, no negative comments on CLD will be made by any CLC helpers. CLC agree and support CLD with their JMod Q and A approach.

Your statement that our Project 4 "... should probably be scrapped as Jagex already communicates at least weekly in the CLD, sometimes daily with live discussions progressing back and forth between Mod Shauny and any of the Clan leaders that are on at the time" is sure to be contentious with some people who are in CLF but not CLD, and given that not all members of CLD are in CLF...
