In retrospect allowing Clans to stop certain ranks benefiting from any Ava bonuses at all was silly so I've reverted that.

I'm not sure why it'd be considered "silly" to be honest. I think both position are valid, mainly depending on your view of life.

• You can argue that because Clans are no longer limited to three Avatars each, everyone can freely get their own without any need for rank restriction.

• Alternatively, you can argue that Clan Staff may want to reserve the Avatar for higher ranks as reward for clan contribution (like many currently do). If clanmates of that clan don't like this then there's nothing stopping them from choosing a different clan with a different policy (come to Incursione, we already allow everyone to use the Avatars. :P )

Personally, I don't want them to cap random plots... I reserve them to upkeep what's lacking if anything. Perhaps if they worked as a wildcard the same as the Obelisk...

Well wouldnt it just be clanicide to stop members from using avas? would be interesting to see if there are any clans out there who would actually do that and how long they would last.

Probably. But if a different clan built on different ethos wanted to reserve the Avatar for people who've made x amount of contribution to the clan, then that's OK as well in my eyes.

Personally we allow everyone to access the Avatar already. If a different clan wants to reserve it to specific ranks (such as for those who cap) then that's not really my business how others choose to run their clans. :)

Incursione 2100+/130+ Clan, Avatar access for all.

I have a few concerns, why are you removing the ability to look on clans noticeboards to see who has an avatar? That is how I find out who is not returning her frequently. Though I understand that we can just recall it we also have had problems because someone may recall the wrong one unless they check who has it and look in the cc to see if their on.

Ava Warden title is only handed out in our clan to those who work citadel. We have some who do not work citadel and do not get the benefits of having an avatar with them if they don't. We adjusted our clan ranking so that those earning that right are Admins. I'd rather I still have the ability to set a rank that is able to have the avatar.

Also as a leader I would like a way to set who can & can not change the appearance of a clan avatar. We have ours designed so we can tell which ones they are and only certain people are allowed to have the avatar do it's resources so that we make sure we meet our keep.

Paragraph 1:

Avatars will be cosmetic only, there will be no returning avas to citadel, there will be no recalling avas to citadel (that option will be removed also - it will become a control stone used for other features), & clans will not be limited to 3 people having the appearance of an avatar follower.

Paragraph 2:

Having an avatar follower will provide no benefit, it will be cosmetic only.
Having the Avatar Warden job will not be required to have an avatar follower for the reason above.

Paragraph 3:

Clan admins can customise the clan's avatars' appearance at the control stone.
This will be the same as it is currently.
I can't remember if there is a permission for this specifically.
If there is, it will be whatever rank you set it at (minimum will be Admin).
If there is not, it will be any Admin rank or higher.

Could you please clarify some things?

Will our 1, 2 or 3 avas still appear in the ava pool?

IF NONE:
Will the control stone be used to customise the appearance of THE clan avatar?
Meaning that whatever design is set there, that is the way the avatar will appear for anyone who chooses it as a follower?

IF 3:
Will those who choose to have an avatar follower be able to choose which one they'd like?

Alrighty here's where we're at.

If this project released now here's what the release notes would say (I'll be bundling in my Clan XP changes in this also)

- Clans with a Avatar Habitat are no longer capped to three Avatars, each player can now have one each if they wish
-. . .
- The Avatar Gather resources action can now be accessed via the Avatar Control Stone
, , ,
- Avatars will gather while summoned as pets in the Citadel, gathering the currently set resource, up to a weekly maximum shared by the clan which scales based on the Habitat tier

This thought hit me late as my clan currently has just 1 avatar, though we are working on medium habitat for a 2nd avatar.

As I do not yet have multiple avatars, I'm not sure, but I believe the admins with permission currently can set the different avatars to gather different resources (i.e. 1 gathering wood, another gathering charcoal, the third on stone)? If this is not the case and all the avatars share a single resource to gather between them, disregard the following question.

If we've got a Grand habitat allowing the gathering equivalent of 3 avatars, will the designated admins be able to set gathering limits on multiple resources for the 'pet' avatars to gather? Or will the all the player 'pet' avatars be limited to gather only 1 resource at a time between them. I'd hate to have to watch the resource tallies extra carefully to make sure that the avatars out for 15 people working together at the citadel don't gather too much of 1 resource before switching them to gather another.

Also, will admins be able to track how the total avatar gathering is progressing via Pet Details, as now? or will this be available at the Habitat stone?

Because the Ava doesn't exist as such anymore, it's just a pet so anyone can take it out, everyone can benefit now without having to rely on someone carrying around a Ava on them.

Only Admin+ can change the appearance of a Clan Avatar

In essence Ava's 1 2 or 3 don't exist anymore, you can only customise the look of one which then changes it for all.

The control stone controls that appearance via admin+ rank.

They'll only be limited to gather one resource at a time between them.

Luckily, there is a way you can track them, when you hit specific %'s the entire clan will get a message.

"Your clan avatars have gathered all the resources they can this week."

OR....

"Your clan avatars have gathered % of their weekly cap."

Hopefully this'll help you a bit :)
