Lol, it's late Shauny, shouldn't you be in bed?

There is a miscommunication somewhere I think.

Everyone should be entitled to the bonuses based on what you have in your initial post, the xp amount dependent on fealty rank. We're all good with the fact that anyone in the clan should still be able to access the bonus. There was a question as to if capping should have a bonus, whether one of the ones listed or a new one, but I don't think that's what you're talking about.

The question was brought up about which ranks would be able to set avatar parameters for gathering at the citadel, which should still require admin rank and above to set the resources (based on permissions set for each clan).

If I'm wrong, could you point me in the right direction of what you're referring to? Or maybe ask Moltare, as he had all the best info on this.

What you've said is correct :)

I'd like to keep this permission set in, I want Leaders to have permission over who gets the Avatar Bonuses, etc.

If your clan wants to allow everyone to have it they can allow it for all rank groups, or if you want players to work towards a certain rank to benefit from Ava and Ava benefits, they also can.

What do you all think about this?

I should mention that the Admin+ rank permission for customizing your Avatar will stay.

I don't mind the ranking function for which ranks or all can have Avatar, very good idea.

Could I also confirm that the owner gets to choose what ranks get to customize? As I understand that all you're saying is that that particular permission is untouched?

This honestly sounds like another version of the clan permissions re-write that we're all thirsty for *nudges Shauny*

Alrighty here's where we're at.

If this project released now here's what the release notes would say (I'll be bundling in my Clan XP changes in this also)

Significant clan changes have been made to the Clan Avatar, details below

- The Avatar Warden Job title is no longer required to summon an avatar,
- Added the ability to allow clans to decide if a rank they specify can access the Avatar and bonuses
- Clans with a Avatar Habitat are no longer capped to three Avatars, each player can now have one each if they wish, the Clan Avatar is now, accessible via the Pets > Follower Pets window (Note: You need a Avatar Habitat active, as well as activating your weekly boost to see this)
- You no longer need to pay for Clan Buffs, as a result Orts have been removed from the game.
- The Avatar Gather resources action can now be accessed via the Avatar Control Stone
- You can now customise your avatar options via the Avatar Control Stone located near your Avatar Habitat
- You can now activate your weekly buff at your Avatar Control Stone located near your Avatar Habitat, once activated you choose between a base XP boost of 3% which can increase up to an additional 3% XP if your Fealty is rank 1, 2 or 3 OR a Skill Plot Bonus which increases the clan resources gained from that Skill Plot by 10%, whichever buff you choose lasts a week and can be renewed anytime, you do not need the Avatar out to benefit from this (provided your clan rank is allowed to benefit from it by your Clan).
- The buff icon for a Clan XP boost now only shows one icon and the total % of additional XP you're getting.
- A buff icon has been added which shows when your Skill plot bonus is active
- Clan admins can customise the clan's avatars' appearance at the control stone
- The Clan Noticeboard no longer shows the status of Avatars and the Players holding them
- Avatars will gather while summoned as pets in the Citadel, gathering the currently set resource, up to a weekly maximum shared by the clan which scales based on the Habitat tier
- If you store the Clan Avatar in your Menagerie it'll have a special appearance for the time it's there
- The Woodcutting, Mining and Firemaking Skill Plots will now grant more clan resources when skilling on them.

- The following clan avatar buffs have been removed due to them not being used as much
- Heal Over Time
- Familiar Faces
- Auto Ort
- Random Resurrection
- Protector

The following Clan Citadel skillplots have had their XP increased by 20% from level 80 up to level 99:
- Crafting
- Mining
- Smithing
- Firemaking
- Woodcutting

The active obelisk at the summoning skillplot will now switch every 30 seconds (previously 17 seconds)
You can now train at Citadel skillplots with skilling urns in the corresponding skill.
The chance to break a root while training at the Citadel woodcutting skillplot has been reduced

Let me know what you think :)

The information in the post looks great. But I'm having a little difficulty understanding 1 point in it right now.

if
- The Avatar Gather resources action can now be accessed via the Avatar Control Stone
and
- Clan admins can customise the clan's avatars' appearance at the control stone
then what does
- You can now customise your avatar options via the Avatar Control Stone located near your Avatar Habitat

actually mean? Is it just for selecting which bonus each player chooses? Forgive me if I'm being obtuse. Sometimes the obvious things just fly right by and I can't seem to catch them.

I like that you've (effectively) extended woodcutting.
I really have tried to read every word in this thread, but has their been any talk, or is there any chance, of extending how long each mining resource lasts for?
I guess my rationale is the poor xp, but I see that has been increased.
If it's considered good enough, that's fine, just wondered.

Can't wait til you increase max tier of plots to T10! & add other skills!
(seriously, quit all other roles please.)

Sorry I just want to clarify something -

Will there still be a physical Avatar that you need to summon for the clan to get the buffs (if they have it activated)?

Or not?

I read "The Clan Noticeboard no longer shows the status of Avatars and the Players holding them" and I'm confused why you'd do that as it was nice to see who had it and on what world..unless of course it is now based upon each clan member and not a person (or 3 for 3 avatars) who summons it for the clan.

Each clan member will be able to summon their own avatar "pet" if they wish, but it will not be required to activate the buff. The buff will be activated at the avatar habitat by each member for their own rate and use.

Therefore there will be no need for wardens or notification of who has it. Everyone will have access to it.

So..if that is the case then why is there talk of setting rank restrictions? So lost. Lol. (All for setting who/what rank can summon btw - if there is still a 3 avatar limit - we have a set rank you have to earn to use it..otherwise screws our ranks up)

Edit: Disregard I think I understand now. If there is no physical avatar to summon to get the buffs, then yes.. need the option to set who can receive the buff.

Ranking System wise..would be nice if 3% & 6% were different permissions (on top of needing fealty)..Not sure how we'll rework ours :(
