I had this fear. however its helped me to get to know whos in my clan more so . and who fits . gives members time to adjust into the clan . its not about recruiting its about the skill of a clan .however I would like the number of visitors to cit to be lowered as the smaller clans struggle enough as it is

Visitor count can be a real pain at times.

We're finding the new system a positive thing in Bonded, we used to have our clan chat limited to clan members only, but now have it open to visitors, and get to know new recruits for a week before they actually join if they have left another clan to join us.

To encourage clan mates to cap at the citadel we have adjusted our ranking structure, new clan mates are Captains, with the clan job of new clan mate, when they cap for the first time they are ranked to General with the clan job of Elite Clan mate.

My suggestion to revitalise the use of clan citadels Mod Matthe is to remove the bonus xp reward for capping from the Quartermaster and replace it with a huge xp lamp which can be used on any skill instead.

Hello CLF,

I wanted to update and say that I was able to show some growth recruiting this last week. :) I was able to increase our numbers by 10 members, which, is a lot considering that we had only been maintaining since the update.

In regards to the citadel, I will not -again- NOT support any further changes to upkeep, upgrades, headcounts, or anything else regarding the maintaining of the citadel. Any more changes would be useless in my opinion and we have already reduced upkeep and headcount to the absolute bare minimum.

Thanks for reading :)

"1) To ensure there is at least one weeks delay on Citadel skilling when swapping Clans.
2) To ensure there is at least one weeks delay on receiving Clan benefits when swapping Clans. eg Avatar buffs
3) To ensure there is at least one weeks delay on participating in any Clan-based competitions when swapping Clans.
4) Must be an implementation that is technically feasible (don't worry we'll tell you if it is or not)
5) Must minimise any impact to first time Clan joiners/new players."

That is indeed a tall order to fill. I appreciate opening this issue to leaders and allowing us to give input, but in my opinion there are now too many parameters now to really expect us to be able to come up with a technically feasible solution.

I'm not trying to be negative, just realistic about the situation after so much development and testing went into the release of the current system before the process was opened to clan leader's suggestions. Hopefully aspects of the ideas shared by others here can help provide a path forward. I'm sorry I don't have any ideas that fit the criteria at this time but if I think of any I'll follow up here. ;)

Ok so i didn't want to comment to much on this like most did until it was tried and tested.

Since its been out a while now i can say as i suspected that cool downs is a very good thing for us and i believe the game.

If someone has 7 days cool down they are guesting in our cc, this gives us a chance to know them and them to see if they like the cc rather than joining learning they don't like it and leaving. So by the time the 7days is over we are getting a new member that's settled in and wants to be a member rather then a player hopping several clans to find one they like.

It's also good as a deterrent for hoppers or people that leave on the back of emotion of an issue, makes them rethink as they will have to wait to join another.

Finally and prob a little more debatable it gives us leaders 7 days should a person be guesting for that period to find out their background as much as u can.
This in one case i had proved to be handy as i found one guest in cc for 4 days was actually guesting cause he left his old clan after scamming them.

The latter wouldn't suit everybody but in all the pros far outweigh the cons here that's my opinion.

Edit - And ive just realised this isn't the cooldown views thread i read a while back my bad sorry.

Original message details are unavailable.
Guest password access to clan chat. Password can be changed by key ranks.

Since there would be a lot of engine work required among other things to create a whitelist, I wonder if approaching it this way would simplify things?

That is a really interesting suggestion.

I've held off replying here, as with Mod MattHe ill, I really can't devote as much time to it as it deserves. However that suggestion is possibly one that I can implement, and would be optional too, so for those perfectly happy with totally open chats, they can just not put one on.

Hmmm, I have to investigate this when the Ban Hammer man is back.
