@mod matthe,
I appreciate the sympathy, so what you would like me to tell my clan and the others affected is what I said before?
Also matthe I know Jagex have a busy 2014.....so this new system will be out 2015/16 what will Jagex say to all the clans who may die in that time?
I know I sound like a broken music player just going on and complaining but it really hurts me when other clans complain to me and I can't do anything but say "Jagex will do something in the future try keep your clan alive till then"

We don't have a schedule yet for it. As soon as I do I am sure Mod Maz and I will let the CLF know. Until then the situation will be as it was before - it is not as though we have secretly been removing inactive clan owners all this time...

like i said you need to be able to choose what is more important. the xp which can be gained back over time, the cit that can be remade, and regretable the name would be gone but you could make a new name that is as awesome. or having an active leader. i have had alot of clans either merge or try to merge with me from the lack of leadership in their clan. it is up to you and your clan to decide... but if you had created the alternate clan years ago when your leader went inactive instead of waiting for someone else to do something then you wouldnt be having this issue. now in the mean time it is up for you to decide whats most important to you and your clan

Matthe: That message you are sharing with people is pretty well written as is. One thing that might be helpful to the clans at issue, is to put some sort of timetable on it so some people don't feel like its a brush-off. For example, including this statement
"This is a complicated issue that may take significant time to resolve. We will post updates at QFC ___________ as they occur, and at a minium will have more information for you by January 15th, 2014."
This ensures they have something to look forward to, and puts a follow-up on your calendar since you have to post an update by then....

If I had a definitive schedule I would. When Mod Maz is back from holiday we will be looking at the scheduling in detail, so I would expect some more news by January 15th, 2014.
Edited to add: IE, Mod Maz is on holiday - it is only she who can do dev dates. Promising she will do stuff by a set time will merely get me thrown to the army of hungry squirrels.

I understand your point don't get me wrong, all I'm saying is why should clans have to after they did all the hard work for the sake of one person? In all honestly this system should have been added when clans and such came out, but that's my personal opinion.
As I said my clan owner has logged in time to time in the 2 years so I was able to get the permissions for avatars and such but more so recently my owner seems to have completely vanished without a single word.
So we would have been starting building citadel like what...? 6 months ago? but even then as I said why should any clan have to sacrifice what they have done? would you let your clan do that in all honesty?
