@Blasty - in this thread we are discussing Clan Owners in game, not CLF access.

As an aside though: Mod Maz and I have looked into reports on who has CLF access and that is being produced but because of the way in which various different pools of data are stored is not an easy one to resolve.

I think the clanhiscores need a clean-up cuz there are 119220 clans now. I think that the problem is that much people can't leave the clan when they are the last person cuz they need to give the owner rank to someone else. I don't know how to fix that problem cuz i never had to do it. I support to change something about this.

But i think that active clans with a clanleader thats gone for a while should keep that clanleader. (Not when hes perm banned ofc)

What if clan leaders could set options for themselves in clan settings options?

Clan Settings - Leadership (Only visible to Owner and Deputies, only editable by the owner.)

Automatic inactivity leadership changes <activate/deactivate?>
If the clan leader does not log in for <a>, then <b> will be automatically be appointed as the leader and the current leader will be given deputy rank.

<a> - A drop down menu between 1 and 12 months. There may be a default value set like 3 months.

<b> - A drop down menu of the current deputy owners. In case the deputy owner's rank is lowered, then it should automatically choose another deputy, possibly the oldest deputy?

It would only apply starting from the day the update is released.

The thing is your clan has contact with you, so If something new cane out you could log in and give that permission to your deputy's, what about clans like mine who don't have that?

I'm sorry that is the most insensitive thing iv read so far on this thread.....with all due respect I don't think you would even tell your clan to leave and forgo everything they had occimplished, it is more than just the citadel you know....

All very valid points but I think as a jmod you would need to use your own iscresion and talk to the clan involved and see what they feel is the best for them.

@blasty,

Something simillar was prosper a few pages back, so I question you, what if the clan leader is already inactive? What is the oldest deputy is innactive? I'm in a position were my owner is innactive and the 2 other deputy's are inactive and they were racked to deputy before me? Pray tell what clans who are in my positions do?

That is all well and good except that I would need to talk to every clan that came to me with an issue and discuss it with them at length. And at the point I start doing that every clan who has the issue, or think they have the issue, would contact me expecting resolution. And I am not in a position to be able to handle that level of traffic in a way that I believe is fair, just or appropriate.

As said above - I am going to flag this issue for my Manager this afternoon and will keep you updated as to their response.

Im sorry you took it as insensitivity. i more looked at it from the practical pov instead of emotional. you need to consider all clans not just your own. i get that can be hard but there is more clans then just yours. and how long have you been without an active leader? in that time what tier could you have reached? and i am unsure of what it could be other then the cit that couldnt be redone in a different clan. please inform me :3

Right - discussed in detail in Community Management meeting. We will not be addressing individual clan's issues in an ad hoc way and will be passing the issue as a whole to the development team for consideration. Concern has also been expressed that tools previously used may not be current and this is also being considered/checked therefore.
