Clan: DGCC
Position: Leader/owner.
Founded: Feb 2008 (6 years 11 months).

There is a lot that can be said, yet I'm not quite sure what to say. :P

We are a small/medium sized clan. What sort of clan? Social, general, I'm not sure if there is a set definition for what we are. We always say that we specialize in not specializing in anything at all. To me it has always felt a bit like we provide a home for those who may not fit in elsewhere. All in all, we are a bit odd - just the way I like it.

Leading was never my intention. I suppose I was sortof thrown into it, and though it was rather unexpected, it has grown on me over the past 6+ years. Being a clan leader has had a large impact on not only my RS career but also real life as I've had the pleasure of meeting many of my clannies in the real world. I've also had the pleasure of watching my clannies grow up and mature - and come to think of it, I suppose I've grown up with them as well. It is always nice to be able to be a part of someone's life, as clanmates undoubtedly are.

Overall I'm very pleased with the clan over the years, though can't say we've changed too much. As our anniversary draws closer we were fondly discussing the years gone by earlier today. I'm lucky to have a number of my oldest members still around and active. I never remove inactives as you never know when an old clanmate may come back and need a debrief on all that has changed in their absence, or just a place to feel at home in RS again.

As for policy, 'firm, but understanding' has always served me well. If there is one thing that has been invaluable to my leadership over the years, I'd say it is patience. I have only ever been in one clan, so my ability to compare is limited, but I know that mine at least can be a bit boisterous. Being calm and collected at the helm seems to provide a necessary counterbalance that allows the clan to function smoothly.

I've enjoyed reading other clan's stories here. :)

Clan: Zirak Kingdom
Position: Leader/owner.
Founded: Oct 2010

I left the clan i was in previously over a number of issues, and didnt want the next clan I went into have the same experience.

I lead the clan from the moment it started, and wasnt sure how it would go, many clans didnt want us to exceed and hoped we would die out and yet we are still here to this day :)

I have watched my clan go through many stages in this world 83 (home of the POC world)

Watching when the clans all went from FC's to CC's was fun, everyone so excite to chop a tree (which ended 3 weeks later to being annoyed to be chopping the tree still)

We have seen many changes, being the last clan to war in our world, POCs are so much more interesting in the old ways than now.

We also where the first clan to have a rouge Admin kick all the clan wiping it from close to 300 to 5 people! That was fun :)

But we are still around today, still in 83, have great friends here, and some enemies, which makes the game always interesting, I love leading the group. We got our Tier 7 and Dragon and where a tight group who worked hard together.

My rule of thumb has always been rule with a Iron Fist but a Open heart, some people not like that view, but I am very solid when it comes to clan rules, but I care allot for the people in it. I always like to give people second chances, and sometimes people think I am insane for giving some people another chance.

I always leave my Pm's open for the clan. I dont think id change anything that my clan and I have been through, its enriched me as a player and a friend, its taught me to realise everyone has a story, and some people are worth their time in gold and others nothing but dust to blow off and move on.

I have enjoyed reading others stories, its always nice to see other leaders and how they came about :)

I'm no longer a leader, but I've lead two clans for over an year, each.

Reign of Elites : I was a co-founder/Deputy Owner of this clan for a year and half, back in 2011. A few of my old friends and I had just left another clan due to excessive drama, and decided to create this clan. It was successful, we peaked at around 350 members, and Tier 4 Citadel(We started it late) in just 2 months. I was a warring leader, and that was the main reason I left. I was inactive during a JCUP match in 2012 and the owner got angry at me for not leading a war in JCUP. This led to a debate/argument within the clan's council. I was demoted and eventually left due to unfairness.

SoulBane: I was a Deputy Owner of SoulBane for over an year. I joined SoulBane in late 2012. I had a preference for warring back then, and this was my best choice since it's ranked #1 in F2P Rated Clan Wars. I quickly climbed the ranks in this clan, but the real journey began when I was ranked from a General to Overseer and then Deputy Owner. The old leaders had retired and became inactive. My co-leaders and I helped the clan to become active again and give it a new motive to increase the number of clan members. However, after a few months, my co-leaders began to slack and concentrate more on their xp gains and other games. I was left alone to lead the clan through a 7 month period, while working on my max cape and Comp goals. After that 7 month period, the clan was in a good state and thriving, so I decided to rank up new members for the council. Ranking up these people created an image of me being a biased ranker, and that led to a few arguments between a few admins and me. And this led to a few members of the council and me retiring and eventually leaving the clan in December.

So, overall, it was a enjoyable and stressful experience being a clan leader. Currently, I'm not aiming to being a clan leader again as I have too many goals in real life and RuneScape.

Good luck to all leaders! :D

Clan Owner, Skilled Slayerz
8 years, 4 months
Comment: I have had a great time making all other scapers time online most enjoyable and memorable.

Skilled Slayerz originally started in my FC as a group called nicedrop. it allowed fellow players who were slaying to share drops and have everybody congragulate them by saying "nicedrop" The Fc grew overtime to the point where it was a full out clan of members who would return daily because of the atmosphere we had grown. In 2011 when the clan camp was released, we changed the name to pro slayerz voted by the clan members. In 2012 we moved to world 30 and changed the name to skilled slayerz. We always have a great time playing and making friends

Hellozzz! Ajente02 here!

Name: Ajente02 (pretty obvious, isn't it?)
Clan: Vanguardia
Position: Co-owner (1 of 5 Deputy owners)
Time on leadership: 4 years and 2 months
Comments: My clan (shared by me and other 4 Deputy owners, elected by the clan members, with a puppet Owner account) is a proud bulwark of Spanish-speaking community.

Created by Kuze Ryuuhi on 24 November 2010, its main purpose is teaching novice Spanish-speaking players the trickeries of the game, and also to mould the future leadership for the community. Our leaders are democratically elected (the first and only Clan I know does this), and we follow and support projects in benefict of the Spanish-speaking community of RuneScape (eg.: the Spanish RuneScape Wikia, the Spanish 'newspaper' '' Periódico Hispano '', etc).
