Clan leader:
Blue Phoenix
One year and nine months
Comments:
I played alone for about two years. I had looked at clan vexes and talked to those in clans, but the ones I met just didn't fit my style of play. Then I ran across a vex for Blue Phoenix, talked to the then leader, and joined. That was in 2011. I've never left, worked up through the ranks and when he stepped down, was handed the key.
The things I have learned? Clans are a group of people, very much like groups in real life. Their enjoyment of the clan is expressed by staying or going, sometimes going with a few disruptions.
As people, let each person know when they do things well. Never be short of praise, even for little things sometimes. We have new players and low level accounts. Several have worked their way up to high ranking officers or even High Council members because they were noticed as a 'noob'.
There will be up and down times, good and bad. But look at it as a learning experience for real life. It is training in leadership.
Mostly, enjoy your clan and your friends.
I've made a couple over the years I still stay in touch with. Always treat all your clan members with respect. Don't let them bring you down.
I can't imagine playing RuneScape now without being in a clan.
