By the way, did anyone happen to note which RuneFest streams they mentioned Minigames in (I don't think I can fit in watching them all, and noting times, this Year).

Got a concrete concept of how to fix the black ibis set. Players should want to obtain it from its original source instead of thalers, vic (or nic), which currently isn't possible due to its uncanncy mechanics in conjunction with a far less than ideally designed activity. PP needs a lot of work (possibly even more than what I've suggested on page 32), but I'd like to focus on ibis for now:
- Remove the level 78 thieving requirement to obtain it in the first place. If a player can play PP, they should be able to earn this set.
- Improve the base drop rate to i/1000, with i being the room number. Wearing a sceptre of the gods or having the skilling weekend active will improve the odds to i/750. Having both will lead to base odds of i/625. Luck enhancers can further improve this by 2, 3 or 4 % for tier 2, 3 and 4 respectively (instead of 3 % for tier 3/4). Master camouflage grants a 10 % bonus chance. The maximum chance you'll get this way will be 1.216 (or 1.459 at a skilling or menaphos/sophanem weekend) % in room 8 with all effects unlocked.
That way the set still wouldn't be too common, but it could actually feel obtainable and will likely be even used as an aid to reach level 99. Especially if PP would get fixed to be a viable activity.

May I ask, what's wrong with Pyramid Plunder (apart from the unique rewards' being too rare and poison being a joke)? I quite like it. Whenever I needed to train Thieving I'd do that or monkey knife fighters. Though nowadays safecracking gives a stupid amount of xp.

Perhaps you're half right; perhaps we can't win. But we can fight.
Too clunky (see my post on page 32), mediocre to bad xp rewards (it isn't even closely viable at any level), it has some cool exclusive rewards actually (sceptre of the gods and ibis), but it's money making capabilities aren't really good either.
It had some niche as an alternative to coshing in the thieving guild (as that was really hurtful to your wrist, when being done over an extended time), but you could just stick to the gullible tourist in menaphos now from level 30 onwards (which offers more than 4 times the xp PP could offer at those levels and still would be comparable in your early 60s). On level 62 onwards safe cracking is superior in every aspect. On level 91 onwards dwarf traders, safe cracking and prif thieving (maybe 94/95 rather than 91) are superior - depending on what you want (xp, money making, low attention activity).
What would I think how to fix it:
- Flow improvements as per page 32
- Remove the xp penalty for unlocking a door with a lockpick or charming a snake in an urn.
- Drastically increase the baseline xp (the rates just are higher at all levels now than they were in 2006) and improve the scaling from room to room. That point should respect the flow improvements of course. As a rough guideline they should look at what could be achieved with pickpocketing at a certain level and balance it out for that.
- Completing the hard desert tasks will note all ivory, pottery and stone artefacts.
- Completing the elite desert tasks will note all artefacts and allow gold and jewelled artefacts to be fenced in noted form.
- Artefacts are rebalanced to provide a multitude of components when disassembled, similar to elite dungeon relics. More valuable artefacts count as higher levelled items in terms of junk.
I actually do not think it needs to be totally superior in terms of experience, but if it is left as it is, many players would get their ibis set and never return again.

- move from mos to gamers grotto
- remove quest req to play
- add "deposit" option/feature to hoppers
- only need 1 player per team to start (2 players min)
- f2p accessible? (Besides the stuff and clue. Rewards are either cosmetics or f2p accessible skills)
Updated (almost) everything!! Immortalized, due to lack of space, I linked your thread.
Original message details are unavailable.
Trouble brewing
- move from mos to gamers grotto
- remove quest req to play
I get the idea to make it more accessible, and I support that, but moving it to the gloomy, boring, underground Gamers' Grotto seems like a very bad idea. Especially since the area is HUGE. For thematic purposes, it really only makes sense on Mos Le'Harmless, and therefore Cabin Fever is also required (it isn't a very difficult quest). But maybe one could add a pirate to, say, Port Phasmatys or Port Sarim who would take you to the breweries if you haven't done Cabin Fever yet, but that'd require some work as that player would have to be restricted to only the minigame grounds...

On a related note, currently brewing is rather useless a practice, so here are some suggestions on how to spice it up. Literally!!
Spiced ales
What's better than a +2 stat boost from matured ales? Well, how about a persistent stat boost lasting half an hour (like the god banner). But wait, there's much more.
So first of all, adding the 'stuff' to an ale should ensure the boost lasts 30 minutes even if it doesn't mature. This feature would only apply to ales you have brewed yourself, not bought ones. Moreover, a new reward should be added to Jimmy's shop: a selection of spices. There should be three, each with different Cooking level requirements to use. They are untradeable, but they can be added to ales while brewing and the resulting spiced ales will all be
tradeable
. Also, using spices would yield a lot more xp from brewing, and you can use any combination of spices in a single vat, potentially creating super powerful ales to use or sell. Spices are stackable and one is used per vat. I suggest:

(note these are all just ideas; feel free to suggest improvements!)
[Spice name] ([Cooking level to use], [Cooking xp for using], [Pieces of Eight cost]): [effect]
Tuai Leit turmeric (40, 5000, 15): when used in conjunction with the stuff, it will ensure maturing. Moreover, it will increase the stat boost by another +1 level and make it last 30 minutes even when sold. Finally, it will prevent ales from lowering combat stats.
Sophanite saffron (60, 12500, 30): increases the duration of the ale's effect to 45 minutes per dose. Increases chance of Menaphos/Sophanem rares a bit, e.g. Black Ibis, pharaoh's sceptre, fossilised insects, Magister lore books. This effect requires Icthlarin's Little Helper and The Jack of Spades to use because of this. More interestingly, it affects the following ales specifically:
- Cider: increases chance of farm animals from monster drops a bit.
- Dwarven stout: increases chance of obtaining a metamorphic geode and increases the odds of the lava flow nymph's appearing.
- Asgarnian ale: Sir Amik Varze will provide you two Falador resource bundles daily in return for a dose of ale.
- Greenman's ale: doubles the chance of the factory outfit's bonus activating, and has a small chance of yielding an extra herb when cleaning.
- Wizard's mind bomb: you get 5% more points at Livid Farm and the Mage Training Arena, high-level alchemy gives 5% more coins, Plank Make's conversion cost is halved, Fertile Soil acts as ultracompost.
Mostly harmless marjoram (80, 25000, 50): also increases the duration of the ale to 45 minutes, and speeds up brewing times by 25%. Increases the chance of obtaining a black mask from horrors a bit, and adds a rare horror transmog ring to their drop table. These effects require A Clockwork Syringe to use. It also boosts the following ales:
- Dragon bitter: all varieties of dragon bones are dropped in noted form.
- Moonlight mead: 10% more Slayer xp inside Morytania, increased chance of elite monsters.

- Axeman's folly: yew, magic and elder trees last a bit longer, evil trees have a small chance of leaving behind a miniature copy of themselves for your POH garden, the lumberjack outfit xp boost is increased to 10%.
- Chef's delight: fires become as effective as the Lumbridge Castle range, quintuple xp from Gnome Restaurant, Cooking successfully has a chance of yielding a clue scroll whose difficulty scales with the level of food
- Slayer's respite: 10% more Slayer or Reaper points from the next assignment received whilst the ale is active (once daily), killing horrors awards Slayer xp as if on task.
- Pigswill: 50% more yield from bushes and fruit trees, 60% chance of doubling charm drops (including elder and talon beast), chance of obtaining a fang of Mohegan from Familiarisation.
~
Something like that. The three spices deliberately have more or less disjoint effects to encourage combining them. Instead of the suffix (m), spiced ales would get specific indications in their names based on which of the six combinations of spices has been used. As I said, everything is tradeable but the spices themselves. Please discuss.
