Got a few suggestions for the Memorial to Guthix D&D:

- Make the Butterfly necklace, Aurelian cape and Butterfly Teleport from a past TH promotion available for 3000 memory strands each OR hand them out as rewards for prestige 4, 5 and 6.
- Maybe you also could consider moving the diviner's outfit from shades of morton to MtG due to the former having no relation at all to divination (I don't think it helps if a reward pool is extended by random rewards - it should be thematically fitting, maybe you could cosider adding the lost soul items instead (helm of corruption and scrimshaws of aggression/sacrifice - the scrimshaws would serve as a long time motivator, as you'll need to replace them every once in a while)). I guess a reasonable price would be 2000 strands each. In contrary to all other rewards this also should be able to be bought without having to complete the D&D once (in order to prevent locking the set behind 95+ divination)
- Add fading memories for 250 strands each a long time motivator

Also something for cleaning up your OP:

- You can remove the slayer mask addition to soul wars, they've already been released to shattered worlds

Thank you, excellent suggestions. Didn't know the helm of corruption etc. existed, but I think they're rather fitting to Soul Wars (in lieu of the slayer masks). Perhaps vampyre fangs (from another promoton) would be more suitable to Shades of Mort'ton.

Guthix Memorial might have too many rewards...I'd say add the diviner's outfit to a new reward shop run by Orla as well as those butterfly items, while fading memories could be an uncommon reward from caches? The longevity thing makes sense, though. I dunno.

If we're taking a look into the reward structure of both activities we currently have the following:

Caches: High experience rewards, a buff that is intended to get you to skill (and is quite useful if you actually decide to do so), xp outfit

Memorial: Low additional experience (most simply is coming from regular skilling - you currently can use strands for medium lamps if you think you're done with the activity), up to 4 permanent unlockable passive effects (albeit there are many of them are bad trade-offs, but you're able to get combinations without disadvantages), 3 sets of cosmetic wings

If we're doing the redistribution the cache will lose the xp outfit and the memorial will get some purchaseable cosmetics, the skilling set and an item that is intended to get you to regular skilling. I think as an item reward the fading memory is better with the memorial (as the cache should drive you to skilling with its buff given).

Yes I agree with the memorial might have too much of rewards then, but if we were to give something item based to the caches I'll actually would leave the xp outfit there. The butterfly items just wouldn't fit thematically there and the memory would be replicating an already given reward.

And for the outfit I guess we already have achieved the most important part: We're able to obtain this set outside of MTX

Since it's relevant, I'm copy-pasting my two cents from "Minigame Autopsy" in "Existing Game Content" :)

^For those who are curious, QFC: 74-75-335-65928277

REMOVE Clan Wars, and incorporate the better parts of it into a RE-IMAGINED Castle Wars and Soul Wars. From now on, I'm gonna call them CW and SW respectively.

Clan Wars is dead. Citadel battlefields were dead on arrival. The only times CW and SW are NOT dead is when they are spotlighted, and when they are, it's hell. AFKers on one side, and a completely dominating force on the other side. Furthermore, teams reach capacity so quickly, dozens of players can spend over an hour sitting in the waiting room.

Picture this: INSTANCE-based CW and SW games, with configurable rules. When Clan Wars was out in the middle of the Wildy, clan leaders in their FC could just challenge another leader, similar to Dueling. Once the rules were set and the match was accepted, everyone in both FC's went to the portal.

-Ideas-

-An option for capped teams, for those who want to experience the game mechanics without all the lag and clutter. This would make it easier for clans to scrimmage against each other and set up more organized events.

-An option to disable certain gear, or vice-versa, for those who really want to test their skill. (e.g. the minigame armor sets, auras)

-The option to make games EoC or Legacy only.

-MORE MAPS. Updated versions of Turrets, Blasted Forest, Plateau, etc. from the old Clan Wars minigame. Make them selectable for those creating instances. Maybe even throw them into rotation for standard CW and SW.

-Some people might want simple deathmatches, just like the old days. Custom games could have the option to simply remove the capture-the-flag aspect of the CW map, leaving only a kill objective.

A feature like this would make casual competition seem appealing to more clans, while allowing the actual "Clan Wars" content to be woven into PvP games that see more traffic.

- Allow clan-specific games
Major support for this feature to the majority of minigames.

As for some of the other ideas, such as removing AFKers - sadly, that's all the majority of the player base cares about now. Getting the best rates for minimum effort, or being able to AFK something. I think adding in activity timers would harm minigames a lot more than benefit them.

Really, for minigames to ever become active again, Jagex would have to make the rates of playing them competitive, or pretty much close to most training spots based on your level, and have the rates scale off that. With rewards being so under powered, people aren't going to bother playing something, since sadly, people only care for efficiency, and not playing for fun. :(

I like the idea you have for removing Clan Wars also.

Hit the nail on the head there - something should be done about that first (and perhaps removal of the spotlight system as a temporary measure to combat afk'ing), and preferably without psychological torture. :)

Profiled. Really interested in the Castle Wars ideas you've had. An activity bar would have been added by now if it were going to be a thing, but other than that the suggestions seem pretty cool. I'd love a clan version of Castle Wars, especially if it becomes F2P like in OSRS.
