why is runescape posting videos about making content more rewarding an accessible to new pvmers then nerfing drops for those players.... this update is giving the merchers they spoke out against in an official video exactly what they want....... the inside of jagex has been permeated by the elitism of streamers who are top 1% pvm saying that everything is too easy...... bump

Agreed. Still haven't tried zamorak guess I won't until they revert this bs. Not sure why they kowtowed to elitists instead of just keeping bad luck mitigation the same as the previous update before this unnecessary nerf.

I can see increasing BLM at harder enrages but the nerf was uncalled for by the masses. If anything keep the increase in BLM at higher enrages and just remove the nerf please.......

Elitists saying zammy 50 % is afk, dont know what afk means and if they are "afking"this content then they are using a bot.... zamorak requires u to run around and kill witches and charge pads.... no way to afk that without a bot. A significant effort is required at any enrage! bump

This was uncalled for removing bad luck mitigation. Now trying to finish collection will be just like arch glacor. I've done over 3000 hard mode kills trying to get last frozen leng core at streaks up to 300 enrage with absolutely no luck. The rare drop roll almost never rolls at enrages below 300.

Now they have done it to zamorak. I have enough trouble at 90 enrage and now there will be little hope of a rare drop roll. No idea who gave feedback to remove bad luck mitigation for enrages less than 100 but prob some elitist merchers most likely.

Agree with OP, this was totally uncalled for. with 1 in 100 chance for a rare roll you will most like need thousands of kills to finish drop log now.

Yeah its complete bologna , This path is such a disgrace for JAG team to take, catering to the top 1% players and belittling everyone else. If bolg were too common, and it was an actual economic issue , the bow pieces would have gone under max cash! this is just straight elitism coming from the development team....... and they want to bring in new players..... why ? So they can belittle and grief them ...... doesn't seem sustainable. bump

right after creating an accessible boss, with the long awaited mitigation mechanics, they do this bs. let them finish killing the entire playerbase in the game, except the super old completionists ^_^ ^_^

Naturally, they gather information on discord, which by definition attracts elitists. I reckon they are doing all kinds of cool stuff as J R suggested on page 2.

I also reckon most games are exactly like this. They are being balanced to extreme levels, leaving almost everyone else in the dust.

You can't even complain about it. They don't care. Just shrug it off. Back to their discord channels for friendly feedback.

I do not see their solution as ideal, but it was an issue, that the farming meta was something, that wasn't even the full fight.

Of course they could have done it like telos, where you can get everything at low enrages, but with drastically reduced rates or like tombs of amascut in OS, in which you only start to unlock most items as potential drops upon reaching certain thresholds. They decided to give you still fairly reasonable rates on uniques, but just disabling the bad luck protection to give you an incentive to push towards higher levels.

He is accessible like nothing before (at least for something, that calls itself endgame content) - in theory you can repeatingly beat story mode and still get a shot on everything he might have to offer - a 1/500 chance for the full dungeon is nothing too insane, but that's something almost everybody could do. Giving an incentive to progress past some point doesn't mean it's inaccessible. The irony rather is nobody would be pissed, if sub 100 % kills couldn't realistically award uniques in the first place from day 1 onwards.

A 1/97 chance for 50 % runs is not too bad - it just works like any other boss released in the past 21 years now if you do not want to push higher - either you get a drop - or not. Improvements: Tooltip / (F2P) QoL v2

a 1/800 dropchance is rediculously low for a boss that takes about 5 mins on solo. IF YOU ARE NOT AN ELITIST WHO GRIEFS LOW LEVEL PLAYERS LIKE THE JAGEX MODERATION TEAM.

that means its going to take 66.66666666666666666 repeating of course hours on average to get single bow piece .... now that may not seem like alot to you JAG team ..... but it is 3 whole days of playing this game on average to get a single bow drop from the boss......

This is rediculous and needs to be changed...... now please sit down and fix your game mechanics and stop griefing less skilled players and giving all benefits to RSGUY and similar players. Dude is literally soloing solak and saying that game needs to be nerfed for less skilled player..... All the while saying that he wants to fix the game and make drops accessible to everyone ... its a load of bologna. bump
