That is correct!
The way that they're progressing the fort, and how the talks are revolving around all these other additions, it makes one wonder just exactly where we will see the fort actually going.

If they do decide to literally obliterate the PoH as it literally serves no purpose anymore other than the aquarium...and I could see that actually being moved to the Fort ironically...thus incorporating fishing to the fort as well as cooking.

I do know that I would love to see some other workshop extras added in, such as a jewelers bench...giving us the opportunity to create some unique untradable gears with various randomized stats...and teleports?

You never know anymore these days with jagex, given they try to be as straight forward with things...

As it currently stands the POH still is the fastest skilling method, albeit highly intense and expensive as well - I can't imagine they would get rid of that. It also would indirectly affect flatpack making (nobody makes those in the POH anymore, but on a portable they're still decently fast (faster than contracts, slower than the POH), cheaper (albeit contracts are even cheaper) and low attention (again contracts require even less).

I wouldn't see the fort as a training method - it's extremely slow (with high attention it caps out at 300k/h) and I am not sure if it's cheaper than construction contracts (if it is it could be an option, but honestly - even then I'd see the contracts as the better deal). And while making planks in the fort gives a bit of xp, it's rather to gain money (or save costs).

But okay - it's five training methods now, of which I see four as viable in one way or another - depending on what you want.

If they add the equivalence of the Aquarium to Fort Forinthry, POH will become only slightly useful below level 63 construction. If they add a T4 to all the buildings, eventually we may see training construction in the Fort getting higher xp/hr and closer to the xp/rate training construction in POH.

The xp rate training construction in Fort Forinthry will only get better, POH will become more and more useless but I don't think it will be removed. It still has some cosmetic values.

That assumes both a level 120 extension and a new plank both excluded from the POH and flatpack making. If this new plank would also be part of construction contracts those would become the prime training method, but even if not that new plank would need to more than double the experience rates in the fort at level 99 to be en par with what the POH is right now with prawnbrokers.

And that ignores the fact you'll either lose a lot of time preparing that new plank via invention machines or the manual sawmill - or cash if you ask dear bill to make it for you.

As it currently stands I certainly see construction as level 120 ready (it certainly wasn't prior to the release of the fort), but on the other hand it also would make sense to introduce more meaningful stuff in the 80s and 90s - preferably things relevant to maxed players as well.

This thread has been up for 6 years...

In all honesty, as much as we've seen progress with this game...and all the changes that have come our way to our favorite game...it's time to just say Merp.
Jagex hasn't really been paying attention to the forums here lately, and I honestly don't blame them. Majority of the audience can be found on the discord and reddit where are all ideas seem to be getting attention these days.

I would love for this thread's QFC to be shared across the platforms so that it can grab the attention of Jagex. Question is, does anyone else have the passion and compassion for good ideas that benefit EVERYONE to be spread across the board so that the aspects that are dwindling get the much needed attention and love that they deserve?

What say you all?

Well, the fort is becoming a central hub for everything it seems...wonder what's next?

It sounds more like me, they're already wrapping it up again. A woodcutting update (+revamp?) and the building fitting to it + the finale of the fort series afterwards (which may have something huge to end the season with a bang). Further involvement in future quest series (yeah of course, we've built that thing for some reason after all), but I wouldn't expect more buildings to come out of it for now - albeit I really thought we'll have something necromancy related there. But then to be fair - the fort already is fairly crammed.

As for construction itself - level 90s are way better covered in RS3 now than they would be in OS, but a few more cool things in the 80s and 70s would have been appreciated as well - just to keep players more motivated along the way. But all in all - the fort did a lot of great things, it helped players to bypass this dumb 'build a chair, tear it down, build a...' to get to construction contracts as a more meaningful training method - and it offers something nice and shiny every once in a while - could've been a bit more at the lower high levels though.

The Duke of Forinthry is just a bit busy preparing for the new Necromancy content. In a couple of months, the Fort will be back to its peaceful state after the release of the new skill. RS3 told us there are more untold stories regarding the Fort.

We don't know what untold stories yet, but just relax for a couple of months. The Dead and Buried update should reveal what will happen next. The stories can take different turns depending on who is dead and buried. If Roald dies, Your Grace will take over Misthalin and be managing a new Kingdom. If Your Grace dies, perhaps you will be managing the Afterlife as the (under)World Guardian.

We have new kingdom to construct and manage soon. Just relax.

It would be something if we could end up building our own graveyard in our PoH to maintain some...unalived pets...
HA!...idk, its been a long week.
