I don't play OSRS.
I am 'aware' of the update.

I know that it is a 1-99 training method.
I know they added the equivalent to the Construction Skilling outfit in RS3 that's been in for a while.
I know they did a thing to help a bit with inventory management with the plank sack.

Looked at their wiki, it does show the XP/hr for most of the training methods, but seems that the Mahog Homes has an advantage in being more of a cost reduction in training. (sort of that middle spot in not the highest rate per hour but does something to reduce the cost you incur over the long run compared to faster rates)
.... and at the same time ... gives a little more feel for "use" to the skill besides just your own PoH and build/tear down/repeat or endless flatpacks

Why are you switching the discussion from xp rate to cost reduction? If RS3's new construction update doesn't give better xp rate but more cost reduction, will it be better than Mahogany Homes?

So Portable Flatpack Workbenches from TH and Construction Contracts?
The Construction updates we deserve , not the Construction updates we need .

You don't need it perhaps but evidently a lot more need them and that's why we see them sharing the Portable Workbenches. Some even ask to put them in the Portable Skilling Packs.

In case if you don't realize, RS3 also received another bland new construction update through the Skilling Offhand from the Orthen Digsite just about a couple of weeks ago.

Construction is going to get a big lift come next Monday. Elite Skilling Outfits is coming again after a long while, in the form of Master Constructor Outfits. What even better they come right away from skilling so nobody has to wait 6 months after it was put on TH. Really cool!

I'm at the point where I accept the fact that construction will never get an update, they gave us contracts and called it a day. Instead, there will just be a bunch of overpowered bosses every few months. It's sad that OSRS has amazing POH content compared to rs3. We still can't even move our rooms around without removing them.

OSRS also just gave us a Mahogany Homes contract update and nothing else on construction since then. Don't you realize POH is not Construction? Besides, Mahagony Homes also has nothing to do with POH. OSRS is also taking its construction outside the POH.

There is also no practical need for us to move rooms around in the POH as we can just recreate new rooms easily. Don't forget all the costumes, treasure trail items, capes etc are not stored physically in the POH. We can access them in the bank so removing my costume box or cape racks and recreate them in another room is equivalent to moving all the stored items all at once.

Besides, overdoing things that don't have practical needs can lead to unexpected bugs like the one OSRS in yesterday's Christmas update in POH which resulted in an unexpected bug that broke players' POH and resulted in an unwanted and unannounced server reboot this morning.

we got a shitty cons update, I guess that's enough for 5 more years. say farewell to a skill rework :P

Not sure if you are talking about Construction Contracts in RS3 and Mahagony Homes in OSRS but there are similar things and both games don't seem to have a any rework planning now to my knowledge, except that Construction Contracts may receive further updates in the stores and more contracts although no "rework".

Agreed. It sorely needs a good update. Both a general review and new features, like adding new types of tables or bookcases, as well as other types of rooms.

Also, what happened to the plan of having the POH outdoors? They discarded it?
