The lack of content release for the construction skill is echoed by how old this thread is.

I would love to see changes come to construction, you've highlighted many good ideas; I fully support a change to construction.

I vaguely remember a video from years ago (around Rune Fest 3, I believe) with Mod Mark high-lighting an imminent change to construction that involved a quest around the home world of the Aviansie, where there would be a PoH-related content drop involving moving the PoH to the floating rocks of this world (similar to the floating castles that are the clan citadels) and another construction update called "The Church of You" .

I had gone on a bit of a hiatus around that point, so I don't remember it clearly.
Does anyone remember the details on this?

Edit: Found the video related to it. (Published on Dec 1, 2013 - oof)

Support for construction changes.

I would like the game room to be updated if possible.

I remember enjoying a few of the classics like rs themed hangman but I was so bad at it because all of the words were related to runescape lol..

Puzzles would be fun, sliders are my favorite, maybe introduce them in a time challenge mode so you can compete with friends and the fastest puzzle solver gets the reward in the loot chest?

Some card games might also be enjoyable.

Oh and a slot machine would be pretty neat.

Also a token vendor where game tokens that work on slot games only in player houses can be purchased and exchanged for coin.
Lost Coconuts.

House Party's need a comeback.

Agreed, but small chance without a grand rework.

Perhaps they would become a thing in f2p if Jagex would allow f2p construction up to level 12 instead of 5. That would give them dining rooms , a beer barrel and the wooden shelves 2 needed to get beer glasses ;)
It's too late. You've awakened the gazebo.

This thread still going huh? That is kind of incredible when you think about it. Though, not more so than the fact that Construction is still largely getting ignored by the Dev teams. At least on the RS3 side of things.

Old School has actually gotten more updates in the skill than RS3 has. Mind you the amount of content between them is about even, but the additions Old School POHs got, were actually useful. Like a special garden you can put a stat boosting fountain, a Fairy Ring, or a Gnome Spirit Tree in. There is also a higher level portal chamber that lets you have one portal that can basically take you anywhere, and has mounts for magic amulets. Oh and a tip jar where players visiting your house can easily give you money for entertaining them, or letting them use your Alter.

Doesn't this seem a little odd? All of these features seem like they would be nice additions to RS3, so why is only Old School getting them? It is more than a little frustrating.

I can understand if the Devs are holding out on updating the skill because they want to do a complete rework, but if that is what they're doing, then they need to stop dragging their feet, and actually work on it. This is why the Mining and Smithing reward has taken so long.

I think in one of their Q&A they said they don’t currently have any plans on a construction rework, and if they were to hyperthetically rework the skill, they want to expand the skill to be more applicable to the open world before they even consider updating the player owned house.

Wow. Those are almost literally some of the things people suggested way back before PoHs even existed.
Perhaps I should move back to Old School...

Don't forget about the layout system. That is right. You can set the layout of your PoH in OSRS which is kinda BS because RS3 should have that feature. It would save so much time on remodeling.

Construction could be amazing but I think it needs a full rework.

I want to be able to build an actual, realistic looking house, not.. whatever it is that we build now. (Like Gertrude's house in Varrock or that mansion from Broken Home). To do that, we need to be able to build it 1 square at a time, manually place doors and windows and other things.

There are so many good looking buildings in Runescape, it would be so much fun to try my hand at building things like that. A wizard tower or a dome house.. anything.
