“Uh-huh.” Auryllac mumbled as Analee went off. When she came back, she gave the dark elf a potion.
“Hunh? Yuh, uh, thank-you, thanks. Golden Root is a rare ingredient, you have a knack for this stuff, eh?” the dark elf said, and then drank the potion. It would take a few minutes to finish, but Auryllac felt better, the potion healing him of his exhaustion. He exhaled and relaxed.
“I still need a few minutes of rest, but yeah, we should head homeward pretty soon. I'm so stiff and sore, and it's only gonna get worse tomorrow. Hopefully, my son won't go out looking for me, that boy just isn't a huntsman...” Auryllac commented.
Then, a distant shriek-like roar from afar sounded, echoing twice, Buruk turning his head, and Auryllac forcing himself awake and picking himself up.
“That shriek... sounded like it came from a very, very big bird, probably hungry, too.” the dark elf remarked, and then a group of white-tailed deer appeared, prancing away, probably having been spooked from the shriek.
If Analee was quick, she may be able to hunt one of the deer, but then again, the roar-shriek sounded a bit too close for comfort. Then again, food was nice to have. She speculated that if the source of that shrieking roar was heading her direction, it had a 1/3 chance of actually reaching this spot, but if she killed a deer, even if the creature did not find her, it would certainly smell the spilt blood, even if the deer did not flee very far after being hit by an arrow.

Meanwhile, back at Analee's village, her father wasn't happy, and sent out some Wood Elves to search for his only daughter. He did not realize he was being watched, at least not yet. Elves had an affinity to nature, and had excellent eyesight, and he soon had the feeling he was being watched, yet did not notice anything out of the ordinary. Perhaps he should investigate?
