Salvatore – Prologue
He dreamt of the world, consumed by red fog. Everything was in ruins, enshrouded by red fog, and as he wandered the streets, he saw countless people nailed into buildings, so numerous, the buildings were covered with bodies writhing in agony. Upon closer examination, he realized all the people had been skinned, and smoke flowed out the buildings. Soon, the buildings caught fire, flames flicking out windows, the skinless victims nailed into the homes starting to suffocate and burn as well.
Unable to control himself, his dream made him flee, and he ran around a corner. The next street led to a stone path covered with blood, this street slanted downwards, and he slipped in the blood, and started sliding down the street, slowly, but unable to stop himself from sliding. The street led to a large gutter with a huge metal gate, leading to sewers, where so much blood flowed into and gurgled.
The further he slid down the bloody street, the louder the gurgling sounded, the gate repeatedly opening and closing, clanking loudly, and more and more blood gushed down the street, the sounds of smoke, flames and moaning victims growing louder and louder. Something crawled from behind the gate, and literally pulled the gate off its hinges, throwing it aside.
Crawling forth from behind the gate was some sort of monster, looking like an immense suit of armour, literally twenty feet tall, but in the shape of a woman's body, very thin but very long, and every time she exhaled, blood drizzled out her visor. The armour was designed to look like a human body, covered with grooves to resemble a nervous system. The visor was in shape of a woman's face, the face forged as if looking like it was in shock. Anywhere the armour had openings, such as at the eye holes of the visor, under the arms, the groin, behind the knee, white light beamed out.
