The Shahanshah | Persians are based off the Achaemenid Empire, Parthian Empire, Sasanid Empire, Kushan Empire, Khwarazmian dynasty, Persians, Parthians, Bactrians, Pashtun, Mesopotamians, and Indo-Persians from Ancient Times to the Renaissance. Persians have unity but are not as aggressive as they used to be, and now tend to be on the defence against Khaners and Sultanians. Persians are master cataphract cavalry of both horses and camels, and have scythed chariots. Persians have the best hashashim; the Assassin's Guild originated in Persia.

13
The Sultanate | Sultanians are based off the various sultanates, caliphates, and emirates of the Islamic world, especially of Arabia and the Middle East, but also includes the Ottoman Empire. Consistent and aggressive in invasion, but targeted by crusaders and Khaners as well. Sultanians utilize Barbary pirates to enslave neighbours, especially Africans, Voivoders, and Gothicans. Sultanians have excellent cavalry and archery, and access to hashashim and camelry.

14
Carthage | Based off Ancient Carthage, Carthaginians, Phoenicians, Numidians, Libyans, Canaanites, Berbers, Moors, various North African peoples, and even some Celtic barbarians. Carthage hires many mercenaries and has unity. Can also field war elephants and camelry.

15
The African Kingdoms | Based on various African kingdoms and tribal societies throughout Africa from Antiquity to the Renaissance, including the Kingdom of Aksum, Kingdom of Kush, Himyar, Kingdom of Makuria, Kingdom of Kongo, Benin Empire, and the many other African kingdoms and nations, which are often at war with one another. Gothican traders, sailors and missionaries have reached various parts of Africa and have begun colonization, slave trade, and trade routes. Excellent light, fast, aggressive forces.

The Indu Empire | The Indus are based on the Karnata Empire, Mughal Empire, Maratha Empire, Rajputs, Vedic culture, and so on. Can also field chariots, camels, and war elephants. There is conflict between the foreign north and native south, but the southern half exhibits unity. Gothican traders, sailors and missionaries have reached this locale and established a few trading companies.

17
The Shogunate | The Nihonese (or sometimes Shogunese) are based off Japan and its many clans throughout history, including the various ancient eras, feudal era, Sengoku period, and Edo period. The many clans are often at war with one another, and occasionally invade neighbours overseas, but overall the Shogunate is isolated. They can employ shinobi. Gothican traders, sailors and missionaries have reached the locale, importing firelocks.

18
The Imperial Dynasty | The Qinese are based off the various Chinese dynasties from Antiquity to the Renaissance and Imperial China; very defensive. China has experienced possibly the most brutal and bloody civil wars in history, having the highest death tolls. Gothican traders, sailors and missionaries have reached this locale.

19
The Corean Dynasty | Based off of Korea from Antiquity to the Renaissance, including the Three Kingdoms Period to the Goryeo and Joseum dynasties. There is consistent conflict between north and south. The Coreans have excellent cavalry.

20
The Aztec Empire | Based on the historic equivalent, Aztecs are ferocious warriors who have forged an impressive empire consisting of huge cities, pyramids and temples deep in twisted jungles. They have unity and always fight their neighbours, the Tlaxcalans, Mayans, Olmecs, Incas, and other nations, capturing enemies in battle to sacrifice to gods. They now face a new enemy: Gothican conquistadors, who allied with the Tlaxcala. Mesoamerican peoples have not learned to use firearms or horsemanship.

Native American Tribes | Based on the many complicated Native American tribes, such as the Apache, Cherokee, Navajo, Cheyenne, Pueblo, Powhatan, Iroquois, Algonquian, Cree, Ojibwa, Blackfoot, Huron, Odawa, Atakapa, Onondaga, Winnebago, Petun, and so on. These tribes are often at war with one another, but occasional confederacies form. Although they are called savages, the Native American tribes have learned to use firearms, and learned to ride horses with superb horsemanship. This locale is currently being explored and colonized by Gothicans and some Vikings.

22
Miscellaneous | Cuba, the West Indies (aka the Caribbean), Southeast Asia, Australia, Polynesia, New Zealand and its other islands, Canary Islands, Azores, Hawaii, and all other far-off islands, are inhabited by natives but Gothican explorers have reached all these places. Cuba, the West Indies, and the Azores are occupied by colonists. Greenland and Iceland are colonized by Vikings, having driven off the Thule and skraelings. Buccaneers plague the tropics.

Races

Most races are similar in aging, prowess of abilities, and importance in the thread.

1
Human

An intelligent and diverse race consisting of evolved apes, and the only race to consist of many factions as already listed. They are of varying technological capabilities, ranging from archaic to the manufacturing of gunpowder. Humans possess good intelligence, learning, invention, stamina, endurance, and agility.

2
Vampire
An undead humanoid affected by vampirism, which causes the individual's canine teeth to lengthen, skin gets pale, and the person has a craving for blood. Extended periods of this condition grants increased strength, speed and reflexes. Eventually, the person will become more demonic and bat-like, soon able to grow bat-like wings and have heightened senses.

3
Elf
Elves reside in forests throughout the world, essentially lithe humans with long pointy ears. They are master foresters, hunters and archers, and talented with magic. Elven bows, shields, and other wood products tend to be the best in the world. The Elves are similar to human civilization but tend to be more secluded. Elves are gentle with nature as much as possible. There are also Dark Elves, and other types. Elves can befriend wild animals.

4
Dwarf
Dwarfs are very stocky humans, who inhabit the various mountains of the world in various independent kingdoms, and also make underground cities and deep mining operations. Dwarfs are master miners and blacksmiths, and currently are the only race to know how to craft mithril, a bright silvery metal that is very light yet much stronger than steel (titanium). They are as advanced as humans, and Dwarven weapons and armour are the best in the world, outmatching even Gothic standards, especially if mithril is used.

5
Gnome
Gnomes are often peaceful and similar to the elven civilization, inherently more magical than Elves, but smaller than Dwarfs. Gnomes dwell in ancient overgrown forests, marshes and swamps throughout the world. They live in cut-outs in giant trees, forming tree-based settlements and petty-looking kingdoms, being simple medieval folk. Gnomes are kind and gentle to nature, and only harm nature if they must, such as to hunt, or mine ores to produce weapons and armour to defend themselves when threatened. Like Elves and Fairies, Gnomes can befriend wild animals.

6
Orc
Tribal savages, Orcs are strong, aggressive folk often with greenish skin, tusk-like lower canines, and a ferocious appearance, similar to Iron Aged human civilization but far more violent. They are fierce and brutal warriors, and tend to inhabit areas less civilized, living in simple settlements. They worship Orcus, the god of the underworld and punisher of oath-breakers. Orcs revere the dead and keep their word, and hate liars and oathbreakers.

7
Fairy / Pixie / Nymph / Dryad
These are tiny benign humans with butterfly-like wings, no more than three feet tall. They are inherently very magical. All Fairies can cast at least tiny zaps and puffs of pyromancy. Fairies are intelligent and in the Iron Age. They can be found deep in forests with gigantic plants (flowers and mushrooms as big as humans) all over the world, living inside trees, or bending the branches of willow trees into living shelters to reside in.

8
Half-giant
Basically human beings who can grow from eight to nine feet tall, Half-giants are rare, living in small communities in wild areas throughout the world, especially forests and mountains. They are as advanced as humans, but far fewer. Their huge size means they tend to be rather slow in thought and movement, but once they get into a sprint, they can outrun even a galloping horse.

9
Giant
Basically humans who can grow around ten feet tall or more, these rare, tribal, lumbering folk are forced to walk with their backs somewhat bent forwards due to so much weight, and they have powerful, muscular legs to support their weight. Giants tend to be shy, gentle, and calm, but overwhelmingly powerful, and very slow in thought and movement. Their immense size means they do not need to defend themselves very often.

Rather than fight, Giants commonly settle disputes by throwing boulders or logs, and whoever throws the greater distance, is the victor. They seem to be in the Stone Age, and live throughout the world in resource-rich areas, but cannot be found in deserts, steppes or savannas, or any other place that lacks enough food for Giants. Can't climb.

10
Gargoyle
Mysterious, Gargoyles are creatures with skin and bones as hard as stone. They have claws, wings, and a tail, and sometimes horns, varying greatly in shape, and can appear animalistic, devilish, or draconic, but are much smaller than humans. Although they are rather short and small, they are much, much heavier than they look! Possessing endless patience, Gargoyles are quite observant, slow in thought and movement, and able to remain still in their sleep, making them look like statues. Gargoyles have not progressed beyond the Bronze Age.

Contrary to their devilish appearance, Gargoyles are actually holy creatures, fond of temples, churches, cathedrals, graveyards, and shrines, and can be found throughout the world wherever stone temples are built. Some clerics speculate that Gargoyles are the descendants of stony guardians tasked to protect temples from demons, but who would ever rely on such a slow guard?

11
Goblin
Basically a smaller, weaker, lesser version of Orcs, but smarter and having larger ears and eyes. Lesser than the Dwarven civilization, Goblins are involved in mining and underground exploration, and study alchemy and sciences as humans do. Goblins tend to be greedy, curious, and annoying.

12
Minotaur
This popular type of monster is a creature in-between human and bull. They possess a large human torso, and the head and horns of a bull. Standing at up to nine feet tall and weighing around a thousand pounds, Minotaurs have huge shoulders, backs and necks, and are powerful and fast, and have excellent stamina and endurance.

They have poor eyesight, and are of low intelligence and average memory, but still advanced to the Iron Age. Minotaurs live in tribes or clans, and are herbivores. Like most super heavyweights, Minotaurs cannot climb. Note that smaller, human-sized Minotaurs are called Satyrs, but are more like goats than bulls, and are very good climbers.

13
Pantherinaen
The Pantherinaens are a race of bipedal felids who evolved similarly to humans, and obviously so totally not a blatant rip-off of the Khajiits from Elder Scrolls. Pantherinaens have the appearance of cougars, lynxes, bobcats, cheetahs, leopards, jaguars, lions, tigers, sabre-tooth cats, and other big cats. Pantherinaens live wherever felines can live, and range from smaller than humans to much larger, depending on their subfamily. Although they reached the Iron Age, they do not make many buildings, for being pure carnivores, there is no time to make settlements; they must always hunt.

With their claws, they can climb trees quickly and keep firm grip, and padded feet means they can move quietly and absorb some force when landing, and they can see in the dark. Obviously, having powerful jaws, fangs and claws allows them to literately rip other animals open.

Pantherinaens have excellent eyesight, hearing, smell, stealth, ambushing, and are calculating and patient, however, like their animalistic counterparts, they have low stamina. They tend to be selfish loners, even when they make villages of tents or huts. They hate the smell and taste of alcohol, but easily addicted to sweets.

14
Canidaen
The Canidaens are a race of bipedal canines who evolved similarly to humans, and live wherever canines can live. They are usually smaller and shorter than humans but nevertheless impressively strong, and bearing the appearance of wolves, foxes, maned wolves, huskies, and other wild dogs.

They have almost endless stamina and endurance, and excellent hearing, smell, stalking, and ambushing, but have mediocre eyesight. Their claws are good enough for grip and scratching, but not strong enough to render flesh, but their jaws are very strong. Padded feet allows them to walk quietly, and helps absorb impact from falling.

Canidaens are intelligent and have excellent co-operation skills, and have reached the Iron Age. They tend to live in clans or tribes, but their settlements are simple, as they must always hunt.

15
Reptiliaen
The Reptiliaens are a race of carnivorous amphibious bipedal reptiles who evolved like humans, similar to Argonians from Elder Scrolls. They are cold-blooded and so live in hotter climates, and are strong swimmers. They have strong scales, jaws, tail, and limbs, and can hold their breath for several hours, allowing them to ambush prey while underwater like crocodiles. They are of low intelligence but good memory, bringing them up to the Iron Age, but as is the case for beast-races, they prefer to hunt than build. They have a transparent inner eyelid. Females lay eggs.

16
Raptorian
The Raptorians are a race of carnivorous and insectivorous feathered therapods, who evolved like humans, and live in warmer climates or areas with mild winters. They range from smaller to larger than humans, and are very diverse in appearance; when larger than humans, they are rather scary. They are similar to Reptiliaens, but just have feathers instead of scales, have talons, and are warm-blooded.

Although feathered, they cannot fly; their feathers are for insulation, not flight, but they can crudely glide from heights but will probably have a crash landing. They can be found wherever flying birds can be found.

They evolved to have shoulders and arms, and possess rather large heads, very long jaws, and long sharp teeth. Their talons are big and hooked, allowing them to jump onto something and hook the talons onto the target, then start clawing and biting. Raptorians are of mediocre intelligence but good memory, and have reached the Iron Age, but can only build simple villages, as they are always hunting. They live in clans, packs, tribes, or alone. Females lay eggs in a nest.

17
Serpentes
Serpenteses are a race of large amphibious carnivorous snakes that grow up to several metres long (a majority of the length consisting of just their tail), who have evolved like humans; they are sometimes called Gorgons (but they do not have snakes-hair) or Naga. These snakes have re-evolved a pelvis located about six feet down from the head, allowing them to move their tails with greater locomotion and even sit down (as the developed pelvis put the 'backdoor' on the backside). They also re-evolved broader rib cages, as well as shoulders and arms below the head. They still slither around on their extremely long tails but can crawl with their arms, and are excellent swimmers, but move rather slowly on land.

They live in warm to hot climates, as they are cold-blooded, but they can also be found in warm swamps, marshes, and even seashores. Serpenteses vary greatly in colours and patterns, but they exhibit some core features: they have hoods that expand when angered or frightened or excited, they can rattle their tails, fangs can spit and inject venom, and they can wrap their tails around prey to constrict them, and squeeze them to death, or to hold them in place to then claw or bite.

Their tongues slide in and out, and is their means to taste scents in the air, and is a form of body language for them. Serpenteses are of mediocre intelligence and average memory, and have gone into the Iron Age. Since they digest slowly, they can make long strong huts to slide into.

18
Avialaen
The Avialaens are a race of birds who evolved similarly to humans, females often called Harpies. They can be as tall as humans, but much lighter, and their feathers, colours, patterns and beaks are greatly diverse, and the underside of their extremely long powerful arms are wings, allowing them to fly and glide, but they cannot fly as good as eagles, for example. However, flight requires lots of energy, and so Avialaens must consume lots of food and sugars to be able to fly, which tires them out faster than running. They are usually carnivorous and insectivorous, but they also eat flowers for its sugars they need for flight. While flying, they can grip weapons or tools with their talons.

Avialaens are intelligent and have excellent eyesight, reflexes, and stamina, but can barely swim, and they dislike being underground. Despite being intelligent, they advanced only to the Bronze Age, the fear of the underground limiting their mining potential. They can weave giant bird nests that are essentially giant baskets woven into large trees and their branches. Females lay eggs in a smaller nest inside their woven homes.

19
Theropsidian
The Theropsidians ('beast-faced-ians') are a race of varying bipedal synapsids who evolved like humans, something in-between reptile and mammal, similar to the Argonians in The Elder Scrolls. Theropsidians have tough hide, possess a temporal fenestra in the skull, and may have spines, horns or bristles at the head.

They are semi-warm-blooded, their bodies able to produce some heat, but they can slightly regulate body temperature as reptiles do. They live in places that are warm or having mild winters. Theropsidians are of average intelligence and memory, and they can swim, walk, run and climb adequately. They reached the Iron Age and they can build simple villages, and can comfortably live in tribes, clans, or alone.
