Breaking out into a run, Miranda ran up some hay and grabbed onto the board, swinging herself over the devil. She was behind him before he could turn around. Grabbing her spear, she positioned herself to stab him. As the devil turned, his mallet came swinging down. With all her strength she pushed up, standing the devil right in the neck just as the mallet struck, casting her across the stables.

Miranda's head hit the wall as she fell. She felt the warm liquid pour down the side of her face before she fully regained herself. Looking over at the devil, she saw him fall forward, the spear getting pushed through the other side.

"Midnight" she whispered as she pulled herself up. Stumbling, she made her way to midnight. "Let's go" she whispered as she pulled herself up onto her horse. Miranda was losing consiouniess. She fought to keep herself awake. Before she could lessen midnight to run, she heard a cry for help.

Pulling midnight loose, she snapped the reigns. Midnight knocked down the door of the stall. "Jump on" she called to whoever yelled for help.

Raven

“Tsk”, Raven spat, tilting her head away. Another person who wanted something from her, she thought. Get in line. The fact she never had much patience for witches, or their vague attempts at mystery, didn't help soften her mood.

“You’re a little late for my soul.” Raven responded, raising her bandage spangled right arm.

Fortress Naamoth

Poca got hurt in the arm and cried for help, and that was when Miranda reappeared, riding on Midnight's back out the stables, having defeated the inept Vaal'Amar inside moments ago. Miranda was dazed from the strike, and Poca had a cut across the arm when a thrown battleaxe nicked her.

Poca having cast fiery attacks at the throwers, more Vaal'Amar turned to face the stables, and approached it. Archers atop the siege tower shot arrows at Poca's direction, the arrows thudding against the roof of the stables; the raven croaked when that happened and decided to fly upwards to avoid injury. With nowhere to go, Poca had no choice but to hop off the stables, and landed behind Miranda onto Midnight, her horse.

Enclosed within walls, where was there to go? Then, the gate of the gatehouse broke asunder, forced open; the battering ram inside the siege tower's base had just broke through the gate, and a few dozen Vaal'Amar charged in, howling and growling.

The big elven soldier with two glaives continued fighting, a whirlwind of glaives, hacking down shields, splitting skulls and horns, and often sliding his glaives along just above the ground to slice across up to several legs of a few Vaal'Amar in one sweep. Nevertheless, the big elf was overpowered by mass of numbers, taken down, and stabbed everywhere where his armour did not cover.

Miranda pulled on the reins, and Midnight reared and turned, Poca holding on, then Midnight kicked his rear legs back to strike at two devils as they charged from behind, then Miranda kicked her hips forwards and got Midnight to run, his chest ramming into devils and knocking them down, and he trampling over others. Miranda and Poca, while on horseback, would have to fight their way through the horde. The gatehouse was the only way out the fortress, and there would be just enough room for Midnight to squeeze through the space at either side of the siege tower.

However, there were at least two hundred Vaal'Amar in the way, most finishing-off the remaining elves or trying to get into the keep. There were too many devils for Midnight to trample over even if galloping, but they had to try! At that, Midnight ran over several more Vaal'Amar, his body receiving blows and cuts but he would press onward, but repeatedly trampling multiple foes down stifled his charge, and he soon was put to a stop. The Vaal'Amar immediately swarmed the horse, in the instance of grabbing the legs of the riders and pulling them down, Midnight kicking and biting back; everything seemed hopeless, but then, suddenly, out of nowhere...

“YYYEEEAAARRRGGGHHH!” someone shouted from above the gatehouse, hacking his way through masses of devils, then before he could be piled, leapt off the gatehouse, and landed on a few Vaal'Amar below, ending up a short distance ahead of Poca and Miranda. Once the figure picked himself up, he was revealed to look like:

The Orc was Gulzod, who Poca met while she was imprisoned. Although she last saw him with a halberd, he now wielded a two-handed sword. Gulzod was covered with cuts and blood, but despite being a middle-aged Orc, he still possessed the relentless ferocity the Orcish peoples were famous for. The devils grunted at him.

Gulzod quickly looked side to side, then some Vaal'Amar charged him from all around, so the Orc spun, swinging his great sword wide but low, and chopped through several ankles in one swing, incapacitating the devils, then many more Vaal'Amar howled and charged him.

“Well aren't you all cute!” Gulzod shouted, “Ah-hah-hah! Let me show you how a real Orc fights!” he continued while raising his sword, then he brought it down with such force, it cleaved a shield asunder and split the wielder's head apart.

The Orc, frenzied by an adrenaline rush mixed with a state of psychotic bloodlust, exhibited seemingly supernatural strength and speed, and none were safe from his attacks, which loped off heads and arms at a single blow, and sometimes, he cleft devils from the shoulder down to the waist, or straight across the rib cage, or cut through both legs in one swing.

Even when he was struck by axes, maces and hammers, Gulzod was in constant motion, body cut open everywhere, but he nevertheless fought with relentless speed and strength, as if he was ignoring his own biological limitations, his wounds gushing out blood with every heartbeat. Gulzod became a freakin' blender to his foes, but he also headbutted, kicked, pushed, and bit with bone-crushing force.

Although there were still many Vaal'Amar in the courtyard, Midnight was a strong stallion, and would withstand attacks, but Miranda would have to maximize the steed's speed and charge to break through the devils now that about half were preoccupied by Gulzod's frenzy.

Poca could still cast magic while on horseback, at least out to the sides or backwards, and swing her sword to and fro while the horse galloped to keep pursuers at bay, for a portion of devils were still charging Midnight.

Witch's Hut

Once the vision finished, Analee seemed to be willing to free her imprisoned people, and asked about the whereabouts of this co-called End King, and the price she had to pay. The witch tilted her head, still grinning, a little blood dropping down from Analee's hands and patting onto the shards of crystal.

“The End King's domain, where th' whole wi'e world twists together... follow th' mauntins, go north from here. Where ya see the llland breakin' apart... where ya see rifts, n' cities cleaved in two, you'll know yous goin' tha right way, but that means you gotta journey through the land o' the Vaal'Amar, and the Dahkbeasts be on yer tail.” the witch explained.

Then she exhaled slowly, lowering her head, and calmed down. She slowly looked back up, and was no longer grinning, but a had a serious, but sorry, look.

“Ahh... th' price... if ya wanna change fate, yous gotta think 'bout what you'd just seen. You saw it in the crystal ballll... and ya must endure everythin' yous just seen. But, there be somethin' more. Know now, that savin' yo people... that ain't all that's comin' yer way, 'cause there's another king with his own agenda, and he be reckonin' folk like yous bein' trouble. Through this twisted world you must go, beyond that lies all you wish to know.” Mama Carmen spoke, then she exhaled and leaned back in her rocking chair, a little wind flowing outside, a few candles flickering.

Sunlight began beaming through the cracks of the hut. Analee noticed that one bigger chunk of crystal lied on the table, allowing her to see her own reflection in it. Talarin sighed, upset, looking at the door, just wanting to leave this creepy hut.

Raven

A little late for her soul? The girl giggled loudly, laughter echoing. She then noticed Raven's demonic arm, and the girl looked at it with a rather surprised face, eyes big, mouth open, lips put into a circle. The girl closed her eyes and shook her head quickly for a moment, then put a hand to her face.

“Not necessarily your soul... but something more. I'd rather not tell you about it, as I don't want any more possible competition, already have too much of that, y'know? But, oh well, whatever. As you may have expected, I just want to use you to get something I want, something I'd never tell you about, as I don't want to risk losing it, y'know, politics and stuff... Eee, hih-hih!” the little levitating devilish Mohawk girl said, eyes brightening up, face eager, bending her elbows back, then leaning forwards, as if ready to jump on Raven. Maybe Raven just wanted to slap that annoying brat?

Then, Raven heard grumbling and growling coming from below her, from... the shadows? Talk about luck, now the shadows were growling at her!

“Uh-oh! Ya hear that?” the girl exclaimed, then lied sideways in the air, and slowly drifted towards Raven's side, the girl staring at her with a mischievous little grin, eyes partly closed. “Those are the Darkbeasts, the big ones. They jump out the shadows and eat you, just like that!” the girl exclaimed, then opened her mouth to imitate some animal clamping its teeth down, “OOMMPF!” she exclaimed while placing her fingers together in front of her mouth, scrucnhing up into a fetal position, then chuckled while keeping her mouth closed, shoulders bobbing briefly.

“TELL YOU WHAT...” the girl shouted, not wanting to give Raven a chance to speak, or maybe Raven just didn't care? She did not talk much. “You just don't know what you really are, what your ancestor was... so...” the girl continued, then she floated upright and spon around, spreading her arms apart. “HOOWAAH!” the girl shouted, then the bars of the door, and Raven's shackles (if she had them) glowed blue, and unlocked on their own, and with such force the metal creaked; the cell door swung open.

“There! You're free now, Raven, y'know? Run along now, my little Raven, go escape. My Darkbeasts will follow you, use them as you would use slaves. If you're lucky, maybe you'll escape the catacombs. Or, if not, the other Darkbeasts will just eat you, but then that'll be bad for me too...” the girl continued, then she spun around with a big grin, giving Raven one last look, and then the girl's body became like smoky shadows, and she was gone with a sneeze.

The Darkbeasts grumbled in the shadows, most squinting their eyes. Raven heard another door open, followed by some complaining.

“The hell's going on down here? I swear, if it's that dumb bitch again, I'm gonna ram my sword up your ass! I'm gonna make you squeal, too, just like that dumb little boy whose belly I cut open to have fun with before I chucked him out a window.” the prison guard whined, yet sounded like he enjoyed his job, looking for excuses to tease prisoners.

Raven heard his footfall, his armour clinking a little, for he was also a Roman legionnaire, and executioner. He held a torch, and as he passed other cells, the few other prisoners (basically skin and bones) moaned and crawled away from him. One prisoner extended his arm out the bars of his cell, begging for water, but the prison guard just stepped on the prisoner's hands, studded sandals cracking fingers, the prisoner moaning.

“You know, I'm getting bored of natural orifices, I lately found that what feels best, is to cut someone's body open, that's the best hole to have fun with. Sounds like fun, eh Raven?” the prison guard continued, torchlight and footfall amplifying. Within seconds, the prisoner guard would reach Raven's cell, but she would not need anyone's help now that she was without shackles!

Analee - Witches hut

Analee listened as the witch spoke, telling her where she had to go and the price she had to pay. The vision she had just seen was what she would have to endure and that alone made her body shake. Was it something she could handle? That she didn't know but she was willing to try. What else was left for her in this world?

Looking over, she saw a piece of the crystal, a nice size chunk that she could see reflection in. Reaching over, Analee picked it up and placed it in her bag. "Thank you for your time" she told the witch. "We must be going." Analee looked over at Talarin and have a nod to show him they could leave.

Analee slowly walked out the door, leaving the witch behind her. Her hands were still covered with blood but she paid no attention to it. Once they walked out the gate, she turned and looked at Talarin. "I have to find them" she told him. "They are all I have left." Analees heart ached for her people, for her father. Her eyes began to water as she held back tears. This was the most action she has had to handle since her incident when she was a child.

As she thought about her family, Talarins father came to her mind. He must be missing his father. With the back of her hands, she wiped her eyes before she spoke. "We should find your father."

Annie landed safely on the horse's back from being atop of the stables. She grab the girl's waist so she can stay on as the horse ran. She saw more enemies coming towards them and the horse ran them over. But they became overwhelmed with enemies for the horse to run over she started to get really scared. That's when she saw Gulzod who she meet in prison and felt relif to see he was ok with some wounds but still fighting. She shot fire waves and also swung her sword both side and backwards while on the horse galloped to keep the pursuers at bay as they rode to get out of there. -Dances-
