Analee

At least Analee wasn't covered with wounds and rips, but dirt and ash wasn't fun either. Talarin nodded when Analee mentioned she was alright.

“Yeah, I'm alright, hit my head against something, but I'm alright. Not sure what happened, but you did something against that demon.” Talarin continued, dropping his axe through the loop at his belt, then walking to the tree-demon. He tried to pull the javelin out the demonic tree, but it was firmly stuck. “No pulling that out now.” he remarked.

When she remembered, Analee called out for Buruk, and soon, the wolf limped by, Bane perched on the wolf's back. Buruk seemed to have been injured in the ribs, which would also be why he was not making much noise. But, he was still a wolf, and wolves are tough and hardy. He let off a little optimistic whine, then put his head against Analee's waist.

After Analee finished comforting Buruk, they all continued the walk towards the witch's house. The hut was simple, and the trees nearby had various animal skulls nailed into them. Various mushrooms grew here and there as well, with lichens hanging like vines. At least the rising sun made everything less spooky, or maybe it just made things worse by lightning it all up?

The fence had a little wooden gate, with a little path leading down to the side of the hut, where the entrance was. The hut was old and dark, the thatching thick but moist, the hut a little crooked. The windows had curtains behind them, closed, but the curtains had rips and holes, revealing that a few candles lit up from inside, and some smoke began flowing out the chimney. The hut sometimes creaked, suggesting that someone was inside.

“Uh, ladies first?” Talarin remarked, hoping Analee would go down the path first, then go to the door and...

Analee looked around for Buruk as she called out for him. From beyond the tree demon, Buruk limped his way to her. Analee knelt down as he approached her, Bane sitting on his back. "You did good boy" she whispered as she lightly patted his head. After comforting Buruk, she stood and they all started their way towards the hut.

As they approached the hut, they could see trees which had various animal skills on them. The sun made it look less spooky but there was still a bad vibe coming from the hut as they came towards it.

Analee reached out and placed a hand in the gate and slowly pushed it open. It creaked as it moved. Following the path, they walked towards the witches hit. Stoping at the entrance, Analee looked around. The window had curtains, though they were old and had holes in them. Just through the curtain she could see the dancing if a light, a candle perhaps, inhaling a deep breath, Analee raised a hand and knocked on the door.

As she knocked, the door slowly pushed open with a creak. Analee looked over at Talrin before turning back forward. "Hello" she began as she pushed the door all the way open as she stepped forward. "Is anyone here?" Inside her chest, her heart was racing. If someone was here, how did they not hear the battle between them and the tree demon. The demon alone was loud enough to be heard.

Name: Raven
Age: 21
Race: Human

Appearance:
Raven possesses a boyish build of medium height, her long jet black hair draping down her back. Her bangs are swept over her ears, neatly tucked away from her blood red eyes. Her skin would have a complexion comparable to freshly laid snow, but for her tanned right arm, tipped with witch-like fingernails. Raven usually keeps this arm bound tightly in bandages, retaining its humanoid shape.

Attire:
Raven presently wears a brown tunic, which drapes down her thigh. Probably a proud white at one point, it has since been tattered and soiled into a horrid mustard brown rag.

Personality:
Raven is somewhat standoffish and independent, and extremely stubborn. She predominantly blames her fate on the church, on god, on her own foolishness – but, ultimately, her driving force is fuelled by her need for revenge against her former master.

Abilities:
Infantry: Light
Kakomancy: Minor
Sarkamancy: Minor

Backstory:
Once the exemplary squire of a famous knight, Raven now scoffs at the idealism of the world she once held. Betrayed by a man she called her master, she was forced to witness an unspeakably evil rite that ascended her master into an angel. As a result of the rite, the man’s atrocities were passed onto her, causing her iris’s to redden and her right arm to contort into that of a demons.

Cast aside like used goods, Raven has since been locked away in the catacombs of a prison-fortress outside of Rome. Said to be built on cursed ground, the very ground emanated evil upon her arrival, with ghostly squeals and wails often heard emanating from its depths.

Other:
Raven’s daemonic arm is cannibalistic – in other words, it can consume demons and malignant feelings. However, as a result, any sustenance she ingests orally will always trickle with the metallic taste of blood.

Miranda ''The Raven Banner'' – Prologue

She dreamt of a vast forest on fire, while as if time slowed down. She saw immense lengths of spider webs everywhere, sometimes covering entire chunks of the forest, sometimes seeing soldiers and horses stuck in the webs. She saw a raven perched on a branch, pecking the eyes out of a man stuck in the webs. As the flames grew, the spiderwebs also caught fire, and then those trapped in it as well.

Walking through the forest was an immense figure, just a silhouette, wearing a huge robe, and apparently having spiders' legs going out the back but curling around to be raised. As the flames grew, giant spiders jumped around, some on fire, some not. The dreamer felt herself being chased by the giant spiders as they spat webs and poison at her. The huge figure followed her, walking, and no matter how much she ran, the figure always seemed to be coming closer.

Up ahead, she saw a huge castle of granite, the town surrounding it soon to be enshrouded by flames. She saw a big dragon, with scales like mirrors reflecting the flames and everything else, and the dragon flew around in a trance, blasting fire downwards everywhere he flew, as if putting the castle and forest on fire.

Then, strange beings appeared, rising from the shadows, beings of lanky stature, with big white glowing eyes. They came, brandishing swords and shields of shadows, jumping in and out of shadows, popping in and out of reality here and there confusingly. One of the shadowy beings pointed at the castle, and when the dreamer looked, she saw the silhouette of a small figure falling off the castle just as the flames erupted, swallowing the castle in endless flames.

The dreamer felt absorbed by the spiderwebs that flowed all around her, then the smoke, then the flames. She saw was a horse, neighing and running in terror through the blazing forest, burned so cruelly that its body looked like a charred bleeding skeleton.

The huge figure with spider's legs sticking out the back towered over her as the flames engulfed her, the figure revealed to be wearing blackened and blued plate armour as well, wearing a peculiar great helm that was very tall, and having four rows of eye slits. The helm was crowned with multiple crowns, as if multiple crowns had been placed inside one another then affixed to the helm.

Then, everything became nothing but fire, and the dream seemed to end. The last thing she saw, was a silhouette of a skeletal being wearing damaged armour, an undead knight probably, who just stood up, and ran off to the side, as if wanting to stop someone from doing something...

Miranda Banner – Awakening in Fortress Naamoth

Miranda ''The Raven'' Banner awoke suddenly, hearing crashing noises and the sounds of fighting. What just happened, and what was going on? She recalled being chased by horned boar-riders or something for two days straight, and happened to stumble upon some sort of castle. The garrison saw her trouble, and sent out armoured horsemen to intercept her pursuers, and found out the horsemen were elves. Unable to fight so many pursuers, and not wishing to teleport away from her horse, she had followed the elven riders into the fortress, and was saved. Exhausted from the ride, she had collapsed off her horse upon entering the castle, but then what?

Miranda now found herself in what appeared to be a barracks, with bunk beds lined up along the walls, and she was lying on the floor with a headache. What a strange dream she just had considering her current situation. There were several dead elven soldiers nearby, and a dozen or so dead devilish beings. The devils looked like humans, but had bright baize skin, horns, tails, and wore long thick hooded robes, and were often armed with shields and maces, war hammers, and battleaxes.

The dead elven soldiers looked like:

She heard more crashing, and felt the entire place shake under her feet. Where was Midnight? Probably in the stables outside in the courtyard, probably upset. Then, she overheard deep, guttural chuckling; people were coming, though they didn't sound like people. She heard the footfall echoing from the opened door leading to the hallway, but there were double doors leading outside as well, but outside sounded like fierce fighting. She noticed that the barracks had barrels of hard liquor stacked in one corner, and there were a few extinguished torches here and there, and a few lit candles.

Wolf,
Miranda seemed to be in the middle of a siege, having been knocked out during the fighting before she awoke just now.

Although not trained to fight with military weapons, she can still pick up weapons from the dead elves or devils, and may even put on an elven helmet if she wishes.

Her skills as an assassin, spy and saboteur may come in useful.
Her psionics and teleportation will definitely be useful in making distractions or diversions.

Hard liquor is flammable.
Raven's raven is waiting for her somewhere.

Fortress Naamoth – Poca

With the help of the elves, she slew several more of the Vaal'Amar, and her fiery attacks put others partly on fire and made theme easier to kill. Having made no initiation against the siege ladders, two by two via the two ladders, more devils entered the wall and jumped into the fray. Poca would have to fill-in her plan soon and put it to action, because the walls were about to be lost to the enemy,

Currently, perhaps twenty armoured elves resided in this section of wall, most swordsmen but some with glaives, and every two seconds, two more devils arose from the siege ladders. One elf was currently attacking down a siege ladder and holding the devils from that ladder back, but he would be flanked soon. There were more dead Vaal'Amar than elves, but the Vaal'Amar were gradually gaining the advantage, jumping into the fray and fighting the tired elven soldiers.

Poca may have useful items in her possession; currently, the elves are fighting the devils, so she will have some amount of time to plan any course of action.

Poca saw more enemies coming up the siege ladders and needed to be damage. Thats when she remebered that she has supplies in her backpack that will help. No one noticed she was there. She took the opportunity to look in her backpack to get the supplies that she needs to destroy those ladders. -Dances-

Witch's Hut

Even Buruk stayed quiet when Analee knocked on the creepy door, then entered. She was a little suspicious that no one inside did anything during the fight against the tree-demon. Inside was quite simple, just having a small round table with two rocking chairs at either side next to the fire, the table having a crystal ball and a few candles atop it, as well as silverware cutlery that needed a wash.

At the back of the hut was the fireplace, with a very small fire in it, flanked by firewood. A cooking pot hang from within the fireplace. The floor had cracks and holes here and there, and Analee could hear things moving under the floor boards.

Along the walls were various shelves full of supplies, animal skulls and bones, tools, dried mushrooms and herbs, books, and even an occasional lit candle, crystal ball, dreamcatcher, religious trinkets, and such things.

Hanging on the walls were larger tools such as scythes, rakes, and axes, as well as coats, hats, cow skulls, and other things. Analee then realized that the occasional big fat hairy spider sat in the shelves, or slowly crawled along the walls or tools or ceiling. Bane eyed one of the spiders, as if contemplating about catching it. Talarin wasn't paying much attention, just looking around aimlessly, as if wanting to touch everything.

At first, Analee saw no one, but when she blinked, suddenly, an old hag was sitting in the rocking chair at the right, gently rocking, yet the rocking chair was thudding against the floor rather loudly. The hag sat so that she faced the table, and stared blankly forwards and sat perfectly still, the fireplace beside her, the flames illuminating half of her body as she rocked away.
