Chapter 14: Discovery of Runite
A few days later, The company split to head their own individual journeys. Siglim went with Jace to find more about the Elven Lands, while Siglim assured Zen and Nate that he would help them defeat Enakhra. Zen and Nate headed to the Edgville Dungeon to help Zen train. Nate gave Zen a Brass Key, which was used to enter a cavern of giants in the Edgeville Dungeon.
There were many giants in Gielenor and this particular type of giants were the hill giants, the weakest type of giants but still quite powerful. Quite tall and lumbering, these giants were menacing but less intelligent than humans. Carrying Axes and Swords of large sizes, they posed a threat to slightly weak adventurers like Zen. The giants were muscular and often had little or no hair at all. Gawping stupidly even when wandering, these giants were even less intelligent than Goblins. Many people killed these giants for their bones, which were in demand for worshiping the gods.
Zen honed his combat experience for a long time by slaying Hill Giants until he had the dexterity and strength to wield Runite Items. However, most of the Runite Ore, the ores which were used to make Runite equippment, are found in mysterious places and many locations are lost in time. The few people who had Runite Items either bought it at high prices or they were an ancestral item in the person's family.
Zen also managed to train a few other skills too. He learned to make Steel Items, he started to make Ruby Jewelry and he even had the strength to start chopping Willow Trees. He also learned a bit of Thieving and was now capable of stealing from Farmers.
Zen made some decent money and had 15,000 gold coins. Pleased with the money, he deposited it in the bank. During his training in the Edgeville Dungeon, Zen and Nate also visited the Grand Exchange, the biggest trading spot in all of Gielenor. Millions of items were bought and sold everyday in the Grand Exchange.

Nate and Zen also helped many people. They helped the Varrock Museum get the two halves of the legendary Shield Of Arrav, helped recover a lost cat and helped a dwarf impress a Barbarian Lady.
On of these days, Zen and Nate were sending a few Thieves to the Varrock Guards when a man walked into Varrock Square and started shouting.
"The Varrock Contest of Runite starts today!Win the contest and get something made out of Runite! Contestants wishing to participate must be in the Varrock Castle's Courtyard in 2 hours!"
Almost immediately, the people started to chatter. Nate looked excitedly at Zen.
"You can participate in this contest! Runite is one of the most powerful equipment on Gielenor!"
"I can but don't you want any Runite items?"asked Zen.
"I already have my Dragon Daggers."

2 hours later, a small group of 10-20 people assembled in the courtyard. All the people wore armour which was made out of ore weaker than Runite. Few people had greedy expressions while the rest looked nervous and impatient.
Just then, King Roald arrived. Zen had often seen pictures of him and had seen him once in draynor. He was wearing red robes and a golden crown with red rubies. He had a very small, brown beard and was escorted by many guards. King Roald walked in front of the crowd to address them.
"Greetings, noble adventurers and heroes! Welcome to the contest of Runite! Some of the people in the Digsite have found a small stash of Runite and have handed it to the Varrock Treasury. Whoever wins the contest will recieve a set of Rune Armour along with a Runite Weapon of their choice."
The crowd gasped. A sneering warrior who was wielding a heavy Adamant 2 handed sword shouted from the crowd. "What do we do in this contest?"
"You must find three diamonds scattered around Gielenor. I will say that one of them is in the land known as the Wilderness."

oh Bionicle and Enddragon, your characters may be slightly late. Sorry about that but, I already have to deal with a lot of characters atm, like Hexa, Valior, Elisa and I may have to put a chapter of Siglim and Jace.
